  • Justin Bieber??

That's not my concern whether he disliked this song.

    ...Otaku3

  • my big daddy bass loved this song we both are baby boomers and loved these kind of bands together but cancer took his short life at 49 i feel like a whole half of my body was ripped off of me he was so loving, crass, honest, badass just everything i miss my bad boy r.i.p your old lady......

  • @oldchick888 He sounded like he was a kick ass kind of guy. Sorry for your loss. The Grass Roots were terrific for sure.

  • @Agilejbk thank you he was one in a million shot he was a kool dude and he looked so hot he was in the nihilistics original bass player........

  • Thank you so much for this post. Then audio sounds so well and good. Do you have their song Ï'd Wait a Million Years"? If you have, can you post it. They are one of my favorite band back the 60's and 70's..

  • You're welcome, novy0919-san!

I own some of their CDs, but, your request is not accepted unfortunately because the most of their song is blocked in all countries upon notification by multiple copyright holders now....

    Otaku3 (^_^;)

  • The Grass Roots are the epitome of classics groups. They're members weren't the best at their respective instruments or at least as flashy, but are so consistently good. They certainly deserve a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before Madonna!!

  • great then and now great group BG

  • if any of you didnt know one of the members of the band is the actor who plays Creed on The Office, which makes this song 100x more fuckin awsome

  • Buenisimos recuerdos de epocas decembrinas pasadas !

  • .Thank you. I used to listen to this song in Puerto Rico as a teenager. I have not heard it in a long time

  • You're welcome, taino20-san!!

    Otaku3 (^_^)/

  • My old friend Otaku3-san: I continue to really enjoy this great music that you upload. Your friend in Sandy, Utah/United States.

  • Thank you so much, Mercari1964-san!!

    Otaku3 (*^o^)/

  • Creed with hair!! That is hilarious, and so "right on", in the terminology of the era. Thanks for that, seonfox. I also rock the classics, but listen to almost everything. I even like show tunes and occasionally a hip hop song or two. I am old and, at the risk of making a lot of young people mad, I am a Gleek. I even like some opera. I must be one of the most eclectic, open-minded musicians around. I guess being an actor, singer, sax, guitar, and piano playing fool has its liabilities. heheheh

  • look at Creed with hair! haha. I've loved this song since I was a kid. my young mom always rocked the classics.. thank God she wasn't lame and didn't listen to the 80s crap of the time or I'd have a crappy taste in music today.

  • Great group I have all there albums a little scratchy but still rock on my working turn table some younger people have never seen one cracks me up BG :)

  • this is what your used to listening to in the car when your dad is still stuck in the 60s and 70s haha still love it though.. Music lives on forver

  • the sound of your foot steps telling me that your near. your soft gentle motion babe, brings out a need in me that no one can hear except......

Love this song ! No one could beat Robs voice in the late 60s and early 70s.

Warren also was great in this song. Love the Grass Roots!!!

  • Groovy song!!! We all have our midnight confessions, now don't we? :)

  • Damn I love this song <3

  • A great song! Believe it or not, I had no idea that this song was performed by The Grass Roots! I guess I just didn't pay attention! Great stuff I grew with when I was akid. What year did this song come out? I forgot!

  • This song was released in June 1968.

    Otaku3 (^_^)b

  • @60otaku3 I was three years old when this came out, yet it is a HUGE fav of mine

  • Thank you for the comment, withfootnotes-san!!

    Otaku3 (^_^)/

  • In my Kinder class in 1975 my teacher used to play this for us and we would jump around like fools and follow along! Love this song...so many memories for me as a child! I still love this song!

  • yo @60otaku3, you always have good oldies vids, my parents listened to these songs when I was little and some of it is really good classic rock music, thanks for posting :) P.S. what does otaku mean?

  • You're welcome, heyfuzzycub-san!!

"Otaku" is a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, or video games.

But the Japanese otaku has many people who are well informed about every hobby as well as them.

    Otaku3 (*^_^)b

  • Farfisa Farfisa!

  • @mkleberte love that sound. smashmouth uses it in some of their songs to give it that retro feel.

  • ¡wow!!! sweet memories, I was just a little boy pretending having a rock band, my friends and me use to play this over and over again, with nothing else in our hands but our imagination. THANKS for posting!!!

  • You're welcome, MrJoshuaEduard-san!!

    Otaku3 (*^o^)/

  • great one here from these guys, and not afraid to confess.also their biggest hit,#5pop in 1968.the two who didn't like the song need to confess on why they didn't like the song.

  • This song was soundchecked by Phish prior to their Wednesday September 14th Benefit show for Vermont Flood Relief in Essex Junction, VT. Would love to see them give it a go live.

  • Can't believe it's been 43 years since I first heard this song when they played at my high school gym in L.A. '68. Thanks for the post.

  • You're welcome, valleyboy1971-san!!

    Otaku3 (*^_^)b

  • @valleyboy1971 goosebumps

  • @valleyboy1971 43 years, damn. I wish I could experience that kind of nostalgia. Maybe someday in my generation.

  • @sofnsable

I was only 15 then almost 60 now. It’s a bitch getting old but Rock and Roll still keeps me feel’n young. Check out the “Cal Jam 74 Black Sabbath/Children of the Grave” video on You Tube. I was 21 when I went to that concert. It’s one of my favorites. Ozzy can still kick ass and he’s older than me. Experience the moment and you’ll have those memories forever. So much Rock left and so little time. Late

  • @valleyboy1971 I'm so jealous. There won't be any meaningful music for my generation to reflect on when we reach your age. Just lots of parents and grandparents having to explain music about drug-dealing and why they have a tattoo right above their ass.

  • @Pr0fessorScience You cracked me up. I had this image of some old fart in the future sitting in a hover wheelchair listening to RAP and throw’n signs. My kids are just in their mid 20’s now. I’ve heard them listening to SOME good stuff but I give them a taste of my vinyl collection now and then. I count about a 100 different groups. But all started with The Grass Roots, Beach Boy’s,The Animals,The Zombies, on and on. Wife turned COUNTRY. Sucks for me, an‘it go’n there. I got my Koss headphones.

  • Wish I had a dollar for every time I played this song...one of my old faves!!

  • EXCELLENT song by the Grassroots. As always, Otaku, the audio is perfect. Thanks for posting this masterpiece !!

  • Thank you so much, fab4fan4ever64-san!!

    Otaku3 d(^_^)b

  • No, his direct cause of death is a head injury due to a stroke, not AIDS.

    ...Otaku3

  • I love this song!

  • lacherryruby,

Because your comment had nothing to do with this song, I deleted it.

    60otaku3

  • You're welcome, 2016don-san!!

    Otaku3 (*^_^)/

  • @2016don Me too.

  • i listen to music from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70', 80's and some 90's.. but todays music has no meening, feeling or soul. all its good for is to dance.... but who wants to dance 24/7? i dont.... bring back good music!!!

  • The Grass Roots are an underrated band.

  • jackie brown

  • the best times were listening to theses songs and singing them to your girl after a few beers man we had fun just chillin with friends and playing those lp's and 45's no single centered focus on a tv screen until the midnight special came on no video games we had fun.... Good day's anyone agree ?

  • I absolutely love this music. Why do the bands now play and sing like this. Seriously simpler times back then. It was about living and having fun

  • Loved this great band as a kid and I just found out that Creed Bratton of the band is THE CREED BRATTON on "The Office". I feel like I live in a hole.

    Otaku3 (^o^)/

  • This song reminds me of Jackie Brown.

  • @bjhamele really ? I don't feel that notion.

  • @bjhamele it was in the movie!!!!

  • As good as it gets! Love the beat and the message. I remember dancing to this song like a thousand times and loving it every time.

  • This was a fav song of my friend Mark (Balon) and mine before I went off to Nam to fight. He died 8 years ago of a massive heart attack and I will always think of him when I hear this. The funny thing is, my 30 year old friend Jenny asked me to play this song today. I'm 57. Go figure...

  • The Fastbacks from Seattle covered this back in 84' on an EP. It's a superb rendition and to date no one has posted it on YouTube. Thank goodness there are still obscure treasures available only to vinyl-loving Luddites such as myself.

  • im 16 and this music is way better then the shit kids listen to today

  • @youputz1 You could be 100 years old and current pop music would still be utter garbage.

  • 1whokncallthethunder,

Please do not post the incomprehensible comment here.

    I deleted your comment.

    60otaku3

  • great song I.turned 18 when this song came out .went in the army the next year

  • Rock on Creed!!!

  • I am so thrilled to hear this song again. It's wicked good! This tune LITERALLY brings back my childhood. I can't believe some goof-ball actually disliked it. May all his radios only receive elevator music.

  • OMG....almost forgot this song existed...absolutely love it....sigh

  • heard this song way back during a local Miss America pageant...one of the contestants twirled her baton to this music....it was awesome...she was the first runner up...the gal that sang Die Holle Rache from Die Zauberfloete was crowned the winner...good times

  • This is such an awesome song!! I so love the feel of this song!! This song so takes me back to days of true happiness and innocence. I miss those days. My heart just aches for those days so much! What a time that was! Never to be forgotten! There was a magic in the air back then that you just cant feel today and that is a real shame. At least we can recapture some of that magic when we listen to this song. Missing those days but hold the memories in my heart forever!! ♥♥

  • an great classic song and group
