If it warms up enough for the arctic to melt it will release the carbon dioxide trapped at the time it froze, and at the time it froze there was about twice the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

For now, we're only increasing the carbon composition by 0.5% a year, but if all that arctic carbon dioxide releases, it will increase by 25%, enough to warm the earth several degrees, enough to destroy most farmable land

you should also know that co2 is a trace gas that in itself produces VERY little warming, and it also follows a logarithm, meaning the more Co2 there is, the less warming it produces.

Every summer we have a heat wave, 36C+ ( up to 45C some days) for 10 - 20 days in a row, normally this is in January, so having it happen in November is early but not an unusual weather pattern for this part of the world.
