@FireCreeper21 thats not exactly true i have read all the original mangas and updated mangas and they both end at goku taking uub away.Toriyama did say that but he re-made Kai to umm..*cough*4kids*cough* get rid of anything un-neccesary crap.He did plan on making dbz end at cell but the fans wanted more so he finished it and did the buu saga which didnt end out so well.Then kai was made and he did it like he wanted and ended at the cell saga.

Dbz is the original series. Dbz Kai is like dbz but shorter and it's been modded down for younger kids. Like some words and arts may be cut out and other parts may be added.

DBZ is the original run of the show. DBZ Kai was recently released in Japan and now in America. It is a re-aired version of DBZ cut much shorter than the original in order to take out any filler. It is all the exact same animation but different audio. I personally like the original better but as a first time viewer, Kai may not be a bad option.

Just because I prefer Kai, it means I didn't grow up with Z? Believe me, I grew up with Z. I also used to think that Kai was also shitty compared to the original. Then I actually watched the episode of Goku's SSJ transformation. UNCUT obviously. His scream is epic.If you think it's a watered down version of Z, you obviously saw the Nicktoons version.

Honestly, the Kai script and acting is more mature for us (unless you're like 12 years old). The Kai dub is the real dub.

@EJFRANCOIS222 If you were a big fan of DBZ, you would be at least willing to try out Kai (NOT on Nicktoons). By mature, I mean the voice actors. Many of the voice actors in the original were just starting out like Sean (Goku, King Kai) and Chris (Vegeta, Piccolo etc). In Kai, they were more 'matured' and experienced in their roles, which in my opinion, is why they sound a hell of a lot better in Kai.

its my opinion that it sucks compared to the original.
