A few people I met three years ago during my semester abroad keep inviting me to parties and concerts and Zumba classes in Greece and Romania. I live in Texas.

1) You can modify your news feed to not include farmville / other app information, or you can not include the people altogether.

2) If you don't want invites to events, you can block the events or the people who send them. But if you go to 1 out of 10 of these, then is it really 'spam'?

3) delete anyone who annoys you and update your news feed to not include their status updates, or to not include them altogether. The problems aren't theirs, it's yours. Learn to personalize fb settings better.
