  • Huh? I am not following your logic. If a son in Arizona sends mom flowers in Boston, how do you get this business? Market yourself nationally? Please the mom and pop flower shop cannot do that. A shop needs a partner like 1800, ftd or teleflora.

The problem is these wire services are taking 30-50% of the sale off the top. . The consumer does not know where the money is going, they think it all goes to the shop. BOYCOTT WIRESERVICE WEEK 2012 is coming!!

Did the wire service pay you for this?

  • wow! The floral industry is lucky to have Mr. Arthur Conforti. He truly loves this industry and wants to see shops succeed. He has a yes we can approach to his business and offers many avenues for the local flower shops to get advise and suceed in building there businsses. We are lucky to have him for advise in this industry. Janie Jackson

  • Positive attitude is KEY!!!! We as retailers need to quit buying in to the gloom and doom of the economy and start doing what we do best, Sell Flowers!!!!

Thanks, Robert Robertson, Expressions Flowers in Fort Smith, AR

  • Never looked at it that way. it is a good point. If they have that many orders it's because of our lack of marketing. I get it. I get it. I know we can get some back. i would be happy with just 1 million of those 400 million they will do in December. glad you shortened this up. Right to the point. Thanks.
