@044930 No, they are actually pretty bad guard dogs. They are alright watch dogs because they will bark when someone comes nearby their home/territory but pitbulls pretty much trust any human so if someone breaks in don't expect the dog to attack, in fact they are more likely to want to play with an intruder. Go for a doberman or german shepard if you want a guard dog, go for a pitbull if you want a great friend and dog.
