Really hated that Vision D' Etat got retired before getting a chance to race during the 2011 season. At 10f, he's been one of the best middle distance turf horses in Europe over the past 2 or 3 season's, IMO. At his very best, I think Vision D' Etat would've made for an interesting match-up with So You Think at 10f. JMO.
IMO, Vision D' Etat's been one of the best 10f horses on turf in the world for the past 2 or 3 seasons. This race ended up being the only prep that he got in prior to the Champion Stakes, and this was off of a lengthy lay-off from his Dubai World Cup bid. I hate that connection's already retired Vision D' Etat before he had a chance to race in 2011. I would've liked to have seen him back at Ascot for the G1 Prince of Wales's Stakes again. Shaping up to be a very competitive field this year.
