@GasmanTen :) Well ya know the gas job on video was the first gas job ever. There just wasn't anything good on video so I had to produce something to help others who were in my situation. I actually completely re-did the gas on a three bedroom house starting from the meter since the vid :) Sorry to disappoint. See that dental drill? Guess what that was bought for. Oh gawd I'm so cheap it's ridiculous.

Btw, my toe always came out fine after a self operation. I wear size 12-13 shoe, I believe when I switch up shoes it irritates the toe and causes the ingrown nail.

I have at least had 9 ingrown toe nails..I only got 1 operated due to not being able to reach it..I have done them all myself with mini scissors or a sharp edge eyebrow plucker..I should wrap a tourniquet around my toe lol I never thought of that..the pain is unbearable sometimes but it's the best feeling in the world when its gone..I tend to wear sandals more since it helps but I worked 4 days in a row wearing tight shoes now I got 2 on the same toe. Nice video, keep on trucking through it. Fu

The problem won't present itself for 4-5 months, when the toenail again tries to grow out. Ask the question: How can a toenail get ingrown if it's already outgrown? It can't. Ingrown toenails start when they are cut too short; that's why I recommend using paper nail files instead of clippers. By the way, I removed my videos out of fear that others will attempt self surgery. Probably best that these not be available for public display. Let me know and I wish you well. veryWest

Most interesting, but the problem is that the toenail will probably become ingrown again because the nail matrix is still intact. A little knowledge can be dangerous and is why I'm thinking about removing my videos from YouTube---I certainly do not wish to encourage people to attempt surgery on themselves. Performing self-surgery typically only makes the condition worse and I've never known of a case to actually solve an ingrown toenail. But, good luck and I do admire your courage. veryWest

@verywest okay. thank you for the experienced words of caution. Since this comment is going to appear near the top, I'll let the viewers know that currently there has been inadequate time to see the actual long term results, but the toe has been and is still very comfortable. I will certainly remove or alter this video if there is a problem. Again, the long term results are yet to be seen.
