If married to an American you can apply after having your greencard just three years. We filed in Nov, and she got her citizenship April 1st. I helped her study everyday asking her the citizenship questions with cue cards I made from the computer. it's really easy as long as you can read and write english. Example they asked my wife to write this sentence. {Abraham Lincoln was the President during the Civil War.}
