Well, we're all entitled to our opinions but i'll reiterate, IMO this was a no contest and Whitney did this song much better.
CeCe played it safe the entire time and hardly used any dynamics. The climax of the song was held back and nothing impressive. Both woman had a very similar tone so you can't really judge one over the other in terms of sound.
So, from a technical standpoint, Whitney did it better. It started of very mellow and there was a gradual climax until the end.
January 13, 2010 of this year was when my dear Aunt sherye died. She told me before she died that she wanted this song played or sung at her funeral. As her nephew her wish will be carried out I love this song so much and it will follow me for the rest of my life

This song was played at my Aunt Becky's funeral when I was just 5 years old. She died of brain cancer. I'm 15 now and still miss her now more than ever :( I love you aunt Becky Rip :(

This song was sung at my sister's funeral. She was a 36 year old mom of three small babies under the age of three. She is now one of Gods Angels. The song was on point and said it all. She would want us to go on and don't cry for her because she is in a better place. She is not on earth suffering anymore and I would never wish her back. I also lost my dad this past January and this song is also for you. Until we all meet again. I love you Sherri and Dad.

I had never heard this song until the day my Mom passed away (2/25/10) we were "waiting" and I was listening to the radio on my phone and it came on which of course made me cry, but this really helped us :)

Well, we're all entitled to our opinions but i'll reiterate, IMO this was a no contest and Whitney did this song much better.
CeCe played it safe the entire time and hardly used any dynamics. The climax of the song was held back and nothing impressive. Both woman had a very similar tone so you can't really judge one over the other in terms of sound.
So, from a technical standpoint, Whitney did it better. It started of very mellow and there was a gradual climax until the end.

I know how you feel. I lost my mom on March 2,2009 and my dad on Jan. 20,2007 its been hard on me too. I lost my grandma on Nov. 26,2001 and all my days are harder now. we must keep the faith and know that God is present even if we don't always feel him. Trust Him!!! He will carry both of us. You are forever in my prayers.

The words are so profound, but certainly I know I can't help but cry, the memories of my dear son who left this earth on 12-25-08.. still are so vivid. I know he is in a far, far better place and if I could bring him back I wouldn't, he beat me home, I'm jealous. He finished his course, he kept the faith, like Paul he has his crow!!! He was 28 yeards old, a solider for the Master. Praise God for his love, grace & mercy!!!!
