simon whitlock is a class player and would easily make the top 16 of the PDC, the GSoD this week speaks for itself.

but then he ought to switch shouldn't he? The only top player left in the BDO is Martin Adams basically, and he's getting old. Everyone is moving to the PDC.

If these guys are good enough, why aren't they going? The money in the PDC is far, far greater than the BDO.

Whitlocks family don't want to move. The guy isn't going to leave his family at home to spend a couple of days a week travelling back and forth and half the time not win much prize money.

Its not as simple as that. Mark Webster won't move till hes done his apprenticeship, Gary Anderson, Darryl Fitton etc live comofortably from their exhibitions, they dont need to move.

yeah right... that's like saying some guy is going to turn down an offer to go play for a Premier League club and make a Premier League salary because his family likes living in Hereford where he plays in League One. The moeny from prizes and sponserships in PDC makes BDO like minimum wage. No way, anyone who has the skills to go into the PDC either has already made the move or hasn't been invited, simple as that.

Fair enough, he is a decent player, but he wouldn't make it that big in the PDC. I do agree with you and do also think that everyone is disrespecting the BDO, but lets all agree the people that dis the BDO, just have nothing better to do. Because. let's face it, none of us here will make it that big in darts, even if they are not as good as the PDC, they still are very decent darts player. Sorry about the essay by the way.
