I don't use 'substances' but on one occasion, with only 2L of coke the entire time, I managed to stay up 125hrs, after about day 4 I started to hallucinate, seeing shadows like ghosts out of the corners of my eyes, it was not cool :o
It was after I first got the (DEMO) of Diablo 1 (yeah, I was replaying the first few dungeon levels repeatedly haha, it was awesome though)
Only 10 years later and now I'm buggered after about 30-36hrs. Makes me feel old :P

Guilford surviving totally threw me because it made NO SENSE WHATSOEVER. I could barely pay attention to what was happening in the last episode and a half because of the sound of myself going "WHAT? NO." at the top of my voice. Giant robots? Sure. Surviving a nuclear explosion to the face? No.
IMO, Geass would've been ten times better if Guilford had stayed dead, but it was still unbelievably awesome.
