@danielcrossleyfan From what I have read, he is very engaging. British actors are NOT the bung-holes that American actors can be. British actors know which side of the bread the butter is on and who puts the butter on the bread. Our lot could stand to learn from them.
It will be hard to see him go. Loved him, and everyone else, on Are You Being Served. One of the show's DVD is in my Macbook Pro right now. :( I hope he knows Jesus.
It does help when the interviewer knows SOMETHING about the person they are interviewing. Even when he told her he had little to do with the carry-on team - and pointed out he was "manager of a clothes store", she prattled on about carry-on.
Thanks to Public Broadcasting here in Boston, Are you Being Served? has been on television for the last 20 yrs or so. Many people have discovered the brilliance and talent of the actors/actresses on that show and it has quite a following even today. Frank Thornton, you are awesome.
Frank Thornton, the embodiment, the epitome of decency. Thank you for all that you have done to brighten the medium of film and television. Further, lest we forget, thank you so much for your contribution to the 'lightning-in-a-bottle' phenomena which IS "Are You Being Served?".
Good ol' Frank Thorton....such a talented comedic actor. He was BORN to play Capt Peacock! THANKS for sharing this delightful footage with us! And may this be your HAPPIEST holiday season ever! :)
He is such a great actor. Thanks for posting this video.

he does not seem that friendly. I can't imagine him bothering much with fans and fanmail.

@danielcrossleyfan He probably gets pissed off with people coming up to him and mentioning Captain Peacock.

@guymark He was in the movie "Carry On Screaming!" but he only had one or two lines. It is a funny hokey movie.
