"Songs For Drella" was a great project. Not all the songs they came up with were classics but I love Small Town, Work, and Faces And Names. And this is just a lovely version of a lovely song. Thanks to whoever found this clip and thanks to Mr Reed and Mr Cale.
But, as to the synth being novel then, this was 1990 or so, and synthesizers had been around in one form or another for 35 years by then, so it was hardly 'novel'. ;)

Yes, the keyboard sound is kind of odd compared to the album version (though the bass line is pretty much the way it sounded on the studio take).
