hmmm I am restarting saddleseat now after a year off (its really complicated) and i lease an x-saddleseat horse (shes more like a hunter now -.-) but i am taking lessons every few weeks at a saddleseat barn! I am planning to have a lesson this weekend, and do every other week or so...is the too little saddleseat time? I can probably get clips this weekend of me on a show horse (see top related video for my first lesson XD)

@thesaddlebredchick I just thought you might be interested... Its a team for saddleseat riders on youtube.

What you do is make a video showing off your skills and enter to be in the team and then if you make it you'll get a reply with the login info and you can upload to the channel whenever you want.

But if you dont want in, thats ok too :)

Is this going to be a channel you are making? I don't really ride saddleseat, but I board my hunter horse at a barn with some park horses and I love getting the chance to ride them. If I had the money to buy a nice 3 gaited park horse, I would leave my hunters in a heartbeat.

@cowgal58 Aww... :( Ok well... lets see, I really want to work with you on this. So if you can make a video of the saddleseat horses and stuff just edit it to the best of your ability and that can count as an entry, I will judge it from there.

aww wish i could enter... i learned saddleseat on morgans at the barn i used to ride at but had to stop.. then i ended up at a big show barn but had to stop there! :( once i find a place i can stay at i'll enter... if it's still up for entries lol

Haha I know exactly how that goes! :) And good luck at scottsdale :) We have a ton of saddleseat equ riders at our barn, but no one is going to scottsdale unfortunately :(

Nope!

Soreing is a illegal practice, and the only breed that I think has had reports of soreing is Tennessee walkers. But like any breed there are people who do things that most people wouldn't.

I think soreing is one of the most despicable acts anyone could do. And it really gives saddleseat a bad name. If people sore it's because they dont care enough to train there horses properly. I for one could never do that to any horse.

@equitationgurl123 I thought I would also say, walking horse shoes have inspection before each shoe. They use a sniffer like what they use in airport security that detects chemicals. If a horse is found to be soared they are DQd from showing. They even had to cancel the walking horse celebration in I THINK 2006 because too many horses were soared. It is not tolerated. :)

My saddleseat horse is unbroke and untrained. lol.Also, I've yet to ride saddleseat but I'm going to go to a barn and get some lessons soon.
