American Horror Story Season 1 Finale "Afterbirth" Review

I hope this "same actors, different characters" thing doesn't really go through the same way as Ali Larter and Heroes. Seeing them again might diminish their original characters.

I couldn't understand why Violet and Vivien, in the next room, didn't run out to save Ben from Hayden and company. Was very weird.

Alright finale, but it could have been more. I like to treat last week as the finale, and this episode as the epilogue.

They raised in 'Birth' the idea that the house itself was putting everything in place, the "power". The fact that this wasn't resolved in the finale was a bit...iffy.

I also didn't like how they skipped the immediate fallout of last week's episode, skipping ahead by weeks.

I'm just disappointed at how the basement baby (Thadeus) won't ever show up again...

It really should have been there in the finale.

i would LOVE next season's location to be an insane asylum.

Graveyard, deserted lake house/campground, college dorm re-modeled from an asylum, etc.

They definitely have options.

I'm not sure about this whole reboot thing. I'm gonna miss some of the characters and I also would have like to see them grow. If they are gonna show different places they should be connected somehow.

I also hope that the haunting of next season will be in the same world of The Harmons and Season One, so that there could possibly be some references to them and the Murder House......but if they bring back actors from season one as different characters, that probably wont happen.....

Next season I hope they have some kind of demon, something that we only glimpse, but that is very scary, like the demon from Insidious. That guy was FREAKING! To me a haunted forest would be better then a haunted prison or hospital, but like the pyschic said, evil manifests best in a buildings of misery, of pain and suffering and darkness, so unless they have slave plantations or something in a forest, it will probably be an insane asylum or prison. I LOVE the reboot idea a lot!!

I'm on the fence about the reboot thing. In a way there was no where to go in this story line. On the other hand, the website posted so many little side stories in the rooms of the house and didnt do anything with it.

I am also STILL ADDICTED to American Horror Story. Growing up in a hispanic household, this format of storytelling is very reminiscent of telenovelas. Because of that, I am not angry or disappointed with the reboot idea. In fact, I think it is a spectacular idea to move on to a new location, and with a new horror story. That's the great aspect of horror, it is extremely adaptable. My vote is for the hospital. OH, and my sincerest thanks for this review. Can't wait for next season!

I feel like they tried too hard to tie things together and make things happy. Everything worked out way too nicely, way too fast.

frankly constance is the only character I'm actually gonna miss. I liked Violet but I got plenty of closure about her.

I really liked this show, though I'm skeptical about the reboot. I'll watch anything with ghosts in it, so count me in for next season, but I'm a little disappointed that this season is already over. I wanted to know more about demon child!

If each new season is going to feature a new locale, then I think it'd be cool if by season 3 or 4 we get hints that these "horror hotspots" are all connected somehow. Might be interesting.

this finale was so bad..... the only bright spot about the finale was the very end with the demon baby.
