I've worked in residential hotels and have been lucky enough to find a few bodies in my time that had been dead for a week or more in the summer.
I couldn't imagine the STINK around that river with the hundreds of bodies they dump in it.
Death is a smell you never ever forget. Roadkill has nothing over the smell of a human corpse. It' sticks in your nose for days.
