I am one of Veronica's biggest fans and I was at the trials and something seemed off. her race was just not one of her better races . But boy did she take revenge in the 200m and in the end set a stadium record of 21.94 WOW!!!!!

Running close to a personal record in one season does not mean that you can't run faster in the same season. In fact a sprinter can run faster than his personal record on more than one race in the same season. Please don't mis understand me All the women who placed ahead of VC were in scintillating form but that still is not to say that VC was at her best at that time and that still does not mean that she can't run faster than 10:88 or 10:85 during any given season.

Well the JAAA rule states that the first 2 automatically qualify,with the 3rd being a discriminatory spot. However I cant see them taking out for Sherone for Veronica, and Shelly ann Fraser came 2nd, so thats sticky and guess who also coach Fraser-Stephen Francis and it will be hell if he allows them to take out 1 of his 2 pedigree. The way I look at it Veronica is the World Champion, put her with Sherone and Kerron and allow Fraser to be on the relay squad, to get some experience.Ver is #1.

Mi sorri Ver miss out pon the 100m squad, but must say it was a very thrilling race. Four of our women running sub 10secs. i can see very good prospects for our Olympics 4x100m women's team retaining their title. ONLY A PITY that Ver won't be able to try for gold in the 100m, but I'm very happy for those who have qualified especially for Sherone after such a horribly arduous year last year.
