every woofer has 2 voice coil at 4 ohm.......so you can wire them at 1 ohm or 4 ohm.........so your amp in bridge is only knows 4 ohm.........so every woofer you must wire in 8 ohm and than both in 4...first you must wire in series than in paralel......
almost every brand makes single and duel voice coil woofers and if you are going to wire an amp bridged into 2 woofers your risking over driving the amp, bridging and amp is almost always going to be in 4 Ohms and is really ment to run 1 woofer. you nan run 2 off it but the out put into 2 subs will be cut in 1/2 so bridged @ 600W is really only going to be 300w in each sub
for these subs, you only need 300 to push them. they are 300 each. and the only reason you would push the amp too hard is if it isnt 1 ohm stable. but if it is 1 ohm stable, then you wont have a problem bridging them in parallel for a 1 ohm impedance load. if the amp is 2 ohm stable, you would ahve to bridge them in series for an 4 ohm load. so if you have a 2 ohm stable 600 watt rms amp, your woofers would actually only be recieving 300 total because of resistance. 150 per sub.

@steliacdavid Lol. I don't know where you get your information from, but no not all woofer have 2 coils and if they do have 2 coil they can be 2 2ohm or even 1 ohm coil or 8 ohm coil. You need to learn alot.
@steliacdavid Friend. I wasnt talking about hifonics subs. I was talking about subs in general. As you didnt state to what sub your talking about. I thought you was talking about sub in general. And you can wire 2 dual 4 ohm sub in parallel first then series, same shit any way.
@steliacdavid And also friend you said every sub, not hifonics. And for future reference of the youtube world, woofers come in dual or single voice coil. In many different ohms for different application of amplifier. Do some studying then post yourself or be more clear about what your talking about. Ok, i an experience car audio enthusiast. This is my hobby. I very well educated in car audio from head unit to subs to amp and each wires. There is practically nothing that i dont know.
@delvinmacmillen18 i sad every sub because in this video are hifonics....and i speak about them...not generaly.....godd fpr you because you have a hobby like this but don't argue with me because i know my subs and i know specification:d,......no offence....i treat you like a friend
@steliacdavid Im sorry if it seem like im arguing. I was just making a point. Yes your ritge these subs are dual 4 ohm. They also have the bigger hifonics subs with dual 2 option. My friend has one and its very loud.
@ChineyHype1 This guy dont know what he is talking about. You dont need 2 amps unless you need the extra power to the subs, but this sub will blow if you put too much power. And if you get 2 amp your going to need to upgrade your whole electrical system top to bottom costing over $200 to $300. Get one of those RF p6002 and 2 of these subs in parallel both coils on each sub and cross them between the subs to bring the ohm to 4 ohm and bridge the amp. If you need more help i will get into details
YOU COULD DO IT AND IM SURE IT WOULD SOUND GOOD. HE SAYING THAT THERE NOT MENT TO BE TOGETHER IS WRONG. IF YOU MATCH UP YOUR OHMS
GOOD AND PUT THEM IN THE RIGHT BOX (build it to spec) AND THEY WILL SLAM. THERE SO CHEAP WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE...CHECK MY VIDS IN ABOUT A WEEK IM THROWING TOGETHER A NEW SYSTEM IM GOING WITH 8 OF THESE IN A CIVIC HATCH...IST GONA SLAM
how loud are they? can u be heard from blocks? im just wondering becuz i have a 2 channel amp : 350rms x 2 , do u think 2 of the same subs u have will be a good match? plz reply. appreciate it.
I have four of these in my 84 grand marquis lol. I insulated my car and I can still hear it! I'm also underpowering them by 100 a piece!

or you could wire in 4 ohm and wire them together into one 2 ohm channel.

Hey i thinking of getting 2 of these and use a Rockford Fosgate 6002
150W x 2 @ 4-Ohms RMS
300W x 2 @ 2-Ohms RMS
600W x 1 @ 4-Ohms bridged RMS
So the question is "Should I wire them @ 2 ohms or @ 4
and how your 12s play since I haven't get a chance to hear them for myself
