His vocal range was downright freakish, especially considering that he was a heavy smoker and not exactly a fitness freak. Many vocalists become extremely anal about their voices and do everything under the sun to protect and improve their voices. With Freddie, it was a completely natural and effortless gift.....

My husband left me two weeks before Freddie died, I didn't cry for my husband but I was totally heartbroken when Freddie died, I suppose it was because he was such a lovely person. There was a paperback that came out about the time he died, he was a very complex person, he wanted to do opera for years, so sad that he should get only a few chances to do so.

Regardless of his private life & his choice's he left us some great music: I'll say this much, you may not like the man but you can't ignore the music! Makes me wonder how far they (Queen) could have gone had he not died?!
