Not all girls have access to that free education.

And honestly 50% of seats is quite a number for a quota. I'd have it around 20-25% .I'm all for women's rights but I don't want it to infringe on men's :)

Do you have any idea what a woman faces in terms of gender dicrimination in India? In that context a 50% reserved seat is not a crazy idea. He was even whining about 30% quota in schools for women. Its obvious he was terrefied of the prospect of equality.
Anyways, his 50% claim is not even accurate. Turns out that seat reservations are a form of affirmative action meant to improve the well being of all perceived underrepresented communities in India - not just women.
