  • Gorgeous shots. I love that final shot in particular, absolutely stunning.

  • looks like a wide angle lens

  • 8 people uses 1 megapixel cellphone camera :)

  • @ferzfire my ipod's camera has 0,7 megapixel and it has better video quality than my 8 megapixel camera...

  • It almost seems unreal :O

  • i used canon 17-0L.

    thanks. =)

  • @biotemp is the panasonic GH2 a better DSLR for video than the 5d mark2?

  • Comment removed

  • @Clx1 yea but that's the thing, i hate the shallow depth of field shots...i personalyy think they look cheap and generic....i want everything in the frame to be clear and crisp and have great colors. Some of these vids have great colors....are they all color corrected to get that color? or is that the camera too? B/c if everything is corrected in post production, i can just use my Sony camcorder 550v with 1080i and don't need 1080p and a much better camera, right?

  • @whole27 To be honest, i don't know a hell lot about videography but i am a photographer so I can tell you from a photography point of view. In commercial photography "almost" everything is post-processed, BUT in order to have good color and contrast you must have a good "base" image to work with. The body may have some effect on the result, but it is mainly the lenses that give the image good color and a punchy contrast and sharpness.

  • @Shadowkirby007 Life would be sweet if it was only 200

  • @Shadowkirby007 If you spent 15 seconds on Google typing in "Canon 5D Mkii" you wouldn't need to post stupid questions on YouTube...

  • @danakerman it was only a joke :D

  • RICH CUNT

  • this video is amazing !

  • gorgeous

  • I like this vid, but as you may already know up front, the wind noise is a bit annoying......a music track maybe next time?

  • so for budget filmmaking is this dslr camera better than some of the equally priced camcorders?

  • @jiffrey32 definitly, if you know how to use it, you're gonna make videos much better than every camcorder, even much more expensive ones. If you want something better than DSLR, check out panasonic af-101, RED ONE, Sony F3, or wait for Sony F100 (maybe this is going to be small revolution, price under 7000$, plasticity and sensitivity of dslr + professional recording quality without ugly compression from dslr)

  • what lens

  • fantastic, great photo and video, amazing

  • Fun! Love the camera. I just did a series on 5D filmmaking. Cheers.

  • What lenses specifically did you use on this camera?

  • @Macleodking 17-40L he says

  • how many minutes of video can this camera take? because nikon d5000 can take only clips of 5 minutes

  • What filter(s) did u use on your lens? :)

  • Awesome quality. Back in the late 80s when I went to film school we had to use such shitty equipment that you guys would die laughing.

  • wow

  • what lens did you use?

  • i want to use this video for my wallpaper, where can i get it & find more like it

  • What were the settings you used?

  • nice..

  • so can you edit the video shot while filming to make it look like this or after

  • Beautiful

  • that's beautiful.

  • wat lens is that ?

  • damit so detailed cause of this 21mp

  • cool

  • What lens did you used for this video?

  • fantastic

  • Gorgeous!!

  • This video is amazing!

  • 35mm chip! Same chip as the Red Camera!

  • @TheCrackbinge Sure...

  • @totemo92 It's true! Look it up.

  • @TheCrackbinge The Mark 5 has a 24 x 36mm sensor, the red has a 24.4mm x 13.7mm. 35mm film can be scanned at 2k resolution. The red one camera can be recorded at 4k resolution and the canon can record at 1080 resolution.

Which doesnt really matter since the canon is a simple camcorder with a larger sensor compared to the Red.

They are on completely different levels.

  • its a fantast place, the video is very smooth and this camera can be used as a hi definition camcoder

  • That is freaking beautiful, I want to curse and shed a tear at the same time. I love that camera.

  • WOW this is like moving photos!

  • holy crap, please tell me you took stills of this too haha.

  • WOW that is one really nice scene and camera!

  • very nice !

  • great video! where was it shot?

  • that first scene would have made an awesome still photo.

  • any colour grading applied to this video?

  • I don't know how to do it. :)

I'm just use gradation filter on lens.

    Thanks.

  • @biotemps that was going to be my next question!

  • @biotemps This looks amazing. What's the filter you used? What lens as well?

  • looks like film or even better. handicam will eventually be replaced with dslr someday. color rendition is much nicer.

  • would have been so great if you used a real mic. or replaced the sound with soundtrack. Extremely nice videography tho

  • Thanks. :)

I want to buy a real mic. too

  • @biotemps make shure you get a juiced link preamp. they are the best

  • @bobseyeview21

I just turned the audio off and selected some cool Paula Morelenbaum from my Itunes....that worked. By the way, what filter did you use? That wet sand responds really well...like wet streets. Lotta glamour in the look. Looks like you used a 15 mm. Any vignetting?

  • what's up with the reds , is this a straight video ?

  • Yes, straight video.

  • @MaxGootkind

What do you mean 'whats up with the reds'? Its a fucking sunset you nob.

  • º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨ post to 9 other vids

  • Awesome video quality.

  • cool !

    what lenses did you use?

  • Thanks. :)

    I used EF 17-40L

  • was that graded?

  • @sodiumwinter

    Yes, i'm used gradation filter . :)

  • I plan to get this camera for video as a B cam for my XDCAMHD 330 Ive heard good things except for poor dynamic range ie shadow detail highlights e.t.c. I was thinking of getting a Tiffen Pro mist filter to tame its harsh contrast and desaturating in post to combat its garish colors so it cuts in better with the higher end cams like RED XDCAM e.t.c. How have you found it image wise? I hear day can look a bit ropy because of latitude?

  • Nice images when the camera is fixed on a tripod.

  • Wow, that's awesome.
