Don't know why God gave me a passion for Ukrainian orphans. After three trips to Lviv and no money to do anything, I am discouraged. I tried partnering with an organization to raise funds to build in Ternopil, but we have not received one penny...pretty pathetic. I miss the children in Lviv and wish to heaven that substantial money would be provided so that I could return to Ukraine permanently to have a long-term impact upon the children, providing love, guidance and stability.
I am a college student and I'm looking for an orphanage to volunteer at for a couple of months. Can I get any information on this orphanage? Do you need volunteers?
there is no reason 4 all of these kids 2 b in these orphanages,When there so many families that want 2 adopt them and the only thing stoping them is the $30.000 that costs 2 adopt them, when the average income of families that r adpoting is only $12.000.Write your congress and pres. 2demand them 2 stp the greed 4 the sake of this angels in waiting
We are an italian couple that adopted a wonderful daughter in this orphanage in august 2007. There were a lot of wonderful children someone with terrible a story to forget that need only family and affection. It is in Priluky. A place in which we leave a part of our hearts.
This is soo touching. My sister just adopted a brother and sister from this orphanage. Its so sad that she couldnt adopt them all. Lets just hope and pray these kids find great homes and a better life.
Whenever I see a orphanage, or see an orphanage or even hear the word I almost cry,I feel terrible that an orphanage even exists.Who ever adopts from an orphanage are not only making me feel better, but you are changing the life of a poor little child,if you can not adopt then at least help local orphanages...please.Why would someone give up there little angel? That is terrible you are ruining an inicent babies life...
This seems to be a wonderful orphanage...full of sensory stimulation (which at most orphanages the kids don't get). Where in Ukraine is Nadija located? My husband and I are going to Odessa for a couple weeks in October to teach and minister to some college students, but hopefully we can get in some time to visit a couple orphanages. We want to help in whatever ways we can. We have already adopted one from Kazakhstan, what a blessing!
A most excellent video. We adopted our beautiful daughter from Nadija in December of 2002. All the children were well cared for then also and the staff were exceptional. THanks again.
Why can't all orphanages and Institutions all over the world be like this?

This is NOT the typical Ukraine orphanage! Most do not provide more than the basics.

The legacy of communism/socialism. A morally bankrupt system that has ruined the nuclear family and allowed many parents to abondon their children.

the orphanage is in a town called Pryluky (also Priluki), some 80 miles (roughly 2 hours) east of Kiev. it's a nice little town.
