He isn't hard once you find a good tactic to taking him out......I used Smolder Dragonsword. Works wonders. Or Knockout Dragonsword......depends if it's the HR6 one or the G-rank one.

@TheLagg3r The Dark Akantor Cincture requires the following items; Gold Rajang Pelt x3, Akantor Spike x2, Akantor Shell x3, Akantor Scale x2. You probably don't have any Gold Rajang Pelts so the Cincture won't show up in the armor crafting shop.

@AdventEdge i did the village quest and also i did the kirin quest in gatthering hall with my hr 9 so he basicly have the quest so he just sign up and i just pick up the quesr and we do it :D took me about 5 kirin or more to get the ful set ^^

i hate you so much right now lol, i can fight kirin but that thing is so jumpy i can barely hit it without getting stabbed/butted/shocked to death, not to mention how it does that minimal damage thing where you get hit without noticing when it brushes against you, that kills me alot too.

@AdventEdge for kirin i recomend using light bow gun or heavy bow gun and then just do like 2 shot and then roll and keep doin that till it dead i mean it might take about 30 minute to kill him but hey still get a dead kirin after :D am about to fight him again since i started the game over :D ohh and try and fight the kirin in elder quest i think elder quest is slightly easier then gathering hall quest dat just me anyway gl

@inasasuke Yeah. Either unlock Nekoht's (Village Felyne that gives quests) last Urgent quest or Unlock the 2nd HR6 Guild Hall Urgent (after Shen Gaoren Urgent, before Dual Hypnoc). Have fun attempting Akantor.

use the blue or red guild armour since it let you carve two or one time more and you can get rarer items.
