Well, I *do* like Coldplay and this is one of my current faves. You cover it well. You should check out Jay Brannan's song "Soda Shop." I love him and his song but I honestly think you might actually be able to do a better job with it. There are versions of it here on YouTube.

You have an excellent voice, and are impressively comfortable on guitar. Be careful not to stray into power ballad dynamics in the chorus, and if playing the piano at the same time is a distraction, move it to guitar (or get a pianist to accompany you.) Excellent voice, though.
