Oh my god, she discovered what happens when you have a C - Am - F - G7 chord progression. A bit late for 13 years of course. One day she may write indeed her own composition but hopefully she will be soon able to comprehend what that means.

its amazing, my only critisism is that for some reason i cant hear the notes very clearly. maybe its because the sustain pedal is on (idek o.e) for me, music with more complicated melodies are best left with the sustain off, so you can hear each note individually. theres someone i know in my year (year 9) who is grade 8. you are about the only person i know of who is as good (if not better) than him at a year younger. Well done!!! it was amazing!! x

this down-third down-third down-third up-second method of composition seems to be stuck in a lot of ppls heads. Its not bad but it annoys to see tht almost ALL of original compositions that I have seen use this same method over and over again. One should also stick to other keys and not constantly on C major. Anyways i might compose a song from some of these ideas. The girl has at least the idea and at her age its great for her to come up with her own little compositions. Keep it up!

I suggest studying whatever compositional texts are available to you and focusing your best efforts into brief musical forms after the manner of your favorite masters. In this case it is as though you've condensed an idea meant for a great length into scarcely over a minute and a half where a shorter form--such as the minuet--could have been more intricately developed.
