  • AT first i thought he was on a roof, then the camera zoomed out LOL

  • Nice work!!!

  • Unlike some people I love wearing my full PPE or at least most of it. Yeah they are hot, but hell... No matter what call it is. Medical Aid or not I'd rather be safe then sorry in any given ~emergency~ situation. #1 priority is you.

  • Well, I'll sleep much better tonight knowing that guys on the job.

  • @raven8699 We all have to go through it, we all make mistakes. Be happy when learn the mistakes and fix them during training and not on the job.

  • If you go we go!

  • generally when REC is sideways the video turns out like this...

  • This is why we train.

  • A) you cant video in vertical

    B) who teaches someone to do a bail out like that. Im all for training, but lets do it right.

  • lame

  • he was scare

  • Haha pretty funny. This recruit just went through a bad evolution. Happens to all of us. Some people are saying he should have full structure gear, but not necessarily. I know the video calls it a bail, but i've never done a bail drill with a rope. Usually its a ladder or hose. This could be high angle rope operations training.

  • Even the title goes WORNG.............. ;-)

  • way to shoot a sideways video you fucking idiot

  • @IISH3LLSHOCKII Way to post a sideways comment you fucking tosser

  • @Brad if you look closely, he has a 5 point harness under his coat but he is not hooked into anything, and yes they should be in full turn out gear, but maybe that was a dry run to get them use to what they are supposed to do. just a thought stay safe

  • @CptnQuattro if u knew anything about becoming a firefighter... is that u have to pass an extensive physical test, including but not limited to: pulling 200ft dry hose, running stairs, a sledge sled, serpentine, pull 200ft charged hose to another area, spray down cones, then huff about 180+ pound victim to the safe zone... know a little before u bash a firefighter

  • THIS is what your brothers are for! He learned from this though, I guarantee it.

  • you have got to be kidding me! I have all the balls in the world and would destroy this guy in physical test

  • @moshea59 nope

  • ohh that looks fun... :O not really

  • PPE !!!!

  • Drill Drill Drill !!!

    Critique Critique Critique !!!

  • Don't tell me..the Keystone department at it again?

  • Judging by the harness used and the helmets, it seems like a rope rescue team, not an actual bailout for use in a fire situation. I could be wrong however.

  • @koolaid0212

I've used it for firefighting bailouts.

  • seams like a rope rescue team because of the helmets

  • This is the most basic form of reppeling too. man needs to work on his single rope techniques.. sorry for the caver lingo..

  • you embarrassed yourself when you came out there without full ppe, this was just icing on the cake of humiliation

  • definitely need a belay on and full turnout at least. and advance up to doing with the pack on

  • hahahaha wtf

  • Also use a belay safety with this drill.

  • This type of training need to be done with full turnout. If you are going to bail in a real life situation chances are you with have full stuctural PPE and airpack. Also we need to train on this without the use of belts and harnesses.Unless your dept. has a SOP of wearing these type of escape harnesses over the turnout it is useless on the fireground. When doing a bail-out both hands need to remain clasped together on the rope and roll out with your hands OUTSIDE the window sill.

  • u have any good training footage of this? ...or links

  • @bradroger07 Most if not all bail out systems utilize an integrated Class 2 harness within the bunker pants or attached to the outside. Also, most devices being introduced currently are hands free, meaning you can negotiate the window with two hands, and then activate the device for decent. As far as their PPE, there is nothing wrong with crawling before you walk, understanding the way a device works with a dry run before dressing up in the full ensemble and doing it "for real".

  • @bradroger07 you might not have noticed but he isn't tied into the harness he is using a self repel

  • @bradroger07 I agree with you to a point. Yeah, he needs to be in full bunker gear. Yes he needs an SCBA. And yes this all needs to happen in real time. BUT....not without a belay line on. I have knew someone who fell from a window, just doing this in practice, and he fell on his back onto his SCBA tank and rolled his back, broke his neck and spine and died. That could all have been prevented if he had just been wearing a belay line.

  • @thomasleandotcom Right you are, this is a RISKY manuever, and the only reason we practice it is because the alternative is a PAINFUL DEATH. There's no reason not to use a safey line, it's not supporting you, just preventing a dangerous fall.

  • just moved new area

i cant watch this video GD

  • Thats why we train.

  • choo choo!

  • That is funny...

  • HAHA, id probably do the same!

  • me to

  • HAHA!

"didnt know i was going to fall that far"

You wouldn't have at all, had you knew what was up. Live and learn.

    Glad youre alright bro
