One of my favorite lines ever, I'd give anything to have been the one to come up with it! So such an absolute truth! Every new day is an adventure & a risk, we make skate to gold or we may go right through & get soaked. The image is just brilliant! They started out a blues rock band, one of many at that time & just started doing their own thing. Love it!
64th birthday for Mr Anderson today (10 Aug) - saw them on tour last year and they're still as good live now as they were then. Long may he continue....
I love that Ian has so much archive footage... You were bred for humanity and sold to society. One day you wake up in the present day, removed from expectations of being what you wanted to be.
Ian makes his lyrics even more intriguing with all of the added animation... his spirit flows through all of his music... he is truly happy about what he does ...nobody do is like the minstrel ....Gotta Love Tull
Great concert , Saw it at the Golders Green Hippodrome, recorded it onto tape from the BBC sight and sound broadcast, Sadly the Cassette died years ago, but its great to hear it again , Thanks tommygun.
I grew up back in the early 70's listening to this. So whenever I heard 50's music, it was not my preference and I would refer to it as "oldies." That was a difference of about 25 to 30 years. Back in the 70's I would see my parents listening to "oldies." So here I am 30 some years later still listening to this music. Well what do you know, now who's turn is it to listen to oldies.
saw him in brighton last year dont worry the man is still a great live performer ok so his voice isnt as powerful as it was in 74 but hey ho lifes a long song
The lyric's are just excellent "everybodys on the stage and it seems like your the only person sitting in the audience" how often do we feel like that ?
Ian Anderson has all of the talent in the group ,

Brilliant showman...Brilliant musician....Brilliant band.
EASILY the most underrated band of "classic rock." Apparently my local "classic rock" station doesn't even carry any Tull. So sad.
