  • These brazilian Villa Lobos stuff are hell to master....

  • @Za7a7aZ This isn't Villa Lobos, it's Hector Ayala, an Argentinian folklore composer/guitarist. This work is from "Serie Americana" (American series), a 7 movements work, where each movement belongs to a different folkloric genre from different South American countries. Like the name implies, this one is a Brazilian "choro"

  • please give me these notes vincent.66@mail.ru

  • anyone know of tabs for this one? or an alternate title i can look up?

  • you want to marry me. (it's not a question it's a statement LOL) (it is a question)

  • When something it´s writen with true feeling,I think it´s very good.Mmm, but again, you´ve just say so. Mmm,it´s complex and simple at the same time.I´m hearing some almost-very-shitty-thing called "La Academia" and I found that channel (TvAzteca) prostituted by commercials and very grotesque. Mmm, I can´t keep this chat, I´m not focused. Sorry, je. You can say anything and I´ll think about it. Hilary Hahn,Clara Schumann,Meryl Streep,Martha Argerich(& many others): true woman´s models.

  • well i'm happy to read what you wrote. It's a very confusing subject, i mean nobody can juge all the artists in some words. a classical guitarist can spend 2years to write a composition, a DJ can improvise in one night. what's the difference? all i meant is that i respect those who respect what they do. I used to like Joan Baez (BOB DYLAN'S friend). she did a lot for the youngs of her generation. she wrote excellent texts about FREEDOM and she didn't do it for money..

  • the guitar is her boyfriend.

  • This girl's got fire, she must have many boyfriends, or girlfriends... =X

  • hello mrjabuta. can i know why it is so mediocre and stupid??

  • good day sir/lady,

I'm referring almost exclusively to a new current of popular music that lacks the taste, structure and well if you hear the lyrics, you might even say it lacks the intelligence. regaeton, i don't know the spelling. it saddens me to se things like this music go thin and lose terrain to an atrocity like that. i don't know if it has reached your country, but amidst these troubled times it has reached mine.

  • thanks for reply. now i understand and i agree 100% with you. i live in morocco and this ''beating music'' is reaching all minds. i almost don't find anyone who love classical or jazz music. so i thank God cause i find people like you and me in this site... have a nice week...

  • And me :P.

    Do you like Prokofiev?

Romeo and Juliet in ballet, that´s all I have to say.

I´m 22 and I live in México, in a country called Celaya at the state of Guanajuato (where every year a very important event, at least for us and maybe for the spanish, it´s celebrated: Cervantino)... Now I don´t even know if that info. is relevant for that matter.

    Have a nice day :).

    (Sorry my english).

  • your english is better than mine!!! and you're completely right. i didn't mean that all beating music was stupid. not at all!!! here is my modest idea: when the ARTIST put something of himself in a melody or a song, when he or she really delivers a message, i think he or she will bring good music, classical, jazz, funky or rap music. no matter the kind, only the message counts..

  • and i would give anything to visit Mexico amigo. got no information about Cervantino ( but i'll look for it!!!) but i'm sure it's interesting and nice as all local events. Romeo and Juliet in ballet is really wonderful.. thanks for next reply..

  • Talking about stupid things... I was writting something more elaborated and the net suddenly get closed. Anyway, thank you for the very early response... You´re 100% correct and... Shit!, I forget many things... Mmm, excuse my words je.

Mmm... I write basically this: Sometimes real feelings confuse with stupid elaborated songs. Mmm... Yeah, still, we live in this ambient of writen-songs-just-because-it´s-cool-or-sounds-like-it. Many of the youth stock in futile issues.

  • finally some one that hates regeaton (i don't know how to spell it either) as much as i do. Hope you feel the same way about rap music.

  • i dislike both, but i lack to see any real problem with the rap, i take it is more of an evolution in the music of a specific ethnic group rather than a money making rage. i read somewhere that rap came out with the blues and jazz improvs and similar stuff. and even though i don't enjoy listening to rap, i don't dismiss it, there is much more to music than anyone's personal taste.

  • thank u for takin a deferential stance on the music of my black people 'hip-hop' as it has come to be known was a form of music used to prick the consciousness of the mind.

unfortunately corporate fat cats saw it as a mechanism to make money and ultimately as a means of control ergo 'gangster rap'.

  • Quero aquela mãozinha dela subindo e descendo pelo meu cacete

  • the 4 angels is a product of that deep and solid chinese culture. and their music is just brillant. don4t understand how guys and girls of my generation don4t care about this kind of music and prefer dancing on stupid( sorry) repetitive beating music. with all my respects for all real artists...

  • no need for apologies, it is mediocre and stupid.

  • There is beating music that it´s not stupid... Mmm, I´m not such a big fan of that, I mean, I like Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Clara Schumann, Bach, Rachmaninoff, Alice in Chains, Haggard, The Cure.I don´t know what very specific beating music you´re refering to.Sorry if you don´t understand my english, I´m still learning and in any case I don´t even want to fight (that´s what almost all people think when see some comment like this or so). I´ll be happy to start some sort of debate about it

  • but when BEATING music is done and used only for commercial aims, when a handsome guy or maked up girl is using his or her nice body to sell not really intelligent music, i respecfully think it's stupid. Look at the lyrics most artist are bringing, you'll see nothing new, nothing intelligent: i love you, you broke my heart, i'll give you my life, when i see u my heart starts beating.... all the same!!!

  • in these times of troubles, wars and all kind of political abuses, there must be a change. people are dying, some got nothing to eat, others nowhere to go, so speaking music must talk about that, and artists have to put right what many others hava put wrong. sorry i don't find correct words.. i'm sad michael jackson's life turned wrong cause he used to say what we needed to hear.

  • THIS really deserves more people to talk about. we need a DJ, a classical artist, a rap man, and much more. every one could give his arguments.I believe in the HUMAN more than anything else. But when money is the goal, i really think it turns wrong. I don't know if you find this stupid amigo, but i think we share the same opinions...

  • i'm gonna marry her i'm her age...i'm in love

  • OMG Perfeito!

  • i tought she's a kid XD

but i looked her other vids...

    she's so cute

  • superbe

  • Is it true that she's 14 here?

  • does anyone have the guitar tab for this? if you do plz post the link

  • just go to classtab . org

  • She has really captured the lilting feeling of a Choro in this performance. Well done!

  • Abolutely agree as listener by decades. She Seems to be born or grown up in the Brazilian or Argentine culture :) BTW their profile shows up that she is from Philiphines, not China and I don't care about race. That's an attitude usually found it on many places of South America, a truly melting pot that came trough the glue of Latin languages as Spanish and Portuguese are.

  • If you dont know what your talking about, its better not to comment.

She was born in China in 1981 and she has lived there her whole life. She is a Chinese classical guitar virtuosa. She gives solo concerts all over the world, but she has also performed in a quartet formation, known as The 4 angels.

  • how old is she in these videos??

  • About 12?

  • WOW!!!!! she plays great!!!! thank you

  • Guys she is not that young

In the video she is about 20 years old!!

    Now she is 23

  • She's 23 now, but these videos were from '98. She's 13 in the videos.

  • She was born in 1981. Yes, I think the video was made in late 90's, so she was about 17~18 years in the video.

  • You are Ill informed

  • Inclusive, a música dela me faz lembrar o Yamandú Costa!

  • Do you know what a choro is?

  • ignore, clueless and racist

  • I tell you that at the beginning of this vid, it shows "Demonstration Performance"(in Chinese), which means this is not a performance for Audience. This is to show how the piece Choro Brasil should be played. It's helpful for learners to observe the skills or something else. In this case, the performer being too emotional is not good. Plus, Choro Brasil is a quiet piece. I like the performace of this style in this vid.

  • Oh, my comment should be a reply to mricardo30.

  • "The chosen one"...her accuracy makes me think I'm watching a CGI animation.

    Thanks LiJie, for the inspiration!

    ...back to the woodshed...

  • Brazilian music is so full of rhythm and swing - which she has - but where are the smiles when those perfect chords are hit.

I would love to see her perform pagode/chorinho with the crowd in Andarai - I bet the smiles would be there then.

  • Absolutely beautiful, lovely playing. Jonegy below commented "where are the smiles...?" I think I detected a little grin around 1:45. She certainly put a smile on my face!

  • Has she played any Villa-Lobos?

  • She is dominating guitar classical in the world .I listened and attended many show of world famous guitar artist , but Li Lei .. She is still the best.

  • exelente interpretacion.

  • The composer is not brazilian, and listen to victor villadangos interpretation (the best).

  • She is a very great guitarist. I hope to listen her in a recital in Italy next future!

  • wedding??? please... ^^

  • This is the Brazilian way of life. Pure love! Isso é o jeitinho brasileiro. Amor puro!

  • Delicious music, beautifully played.

    Peter

  • molto brava

  • Excellent, Very nice interpretation!!

  • this is the shizz

  • sweet music

  • Love this girl..

    Brilliant musician

  • her sound is so pure, can you tell what type of guitar and amplification she is using, please?

  • I can't speak for the guitar but there is no amplification. That's just a mic pointed in her direction. Mics actually produce the best sound for classical guitars

  • Thats true, even the best guitar with the best woods and the best mics inside, doesn´t sound like a spanish or a classical guitar, not like the way it meant to be. Just in this cases, natural amplification or air mics, its still the best choice.
