It appears you guys need to read the NHRA rule book. Whenever a vehicle is started a licensed driver needs to be in the cockpit.

sainty speed works build billet quad camers here in Australia,they build everything in house & have run 4's over the quarter, not bad since they do there own tuneing & are on a steep learning curve,

@greasemunky326 Yes. Top fuel engines run a single cam, just like the standard Chrysler Hemi. Tommy started building his 4-cam engine in 1964. An Austrailian outfit named McGhee designed a quad cam top fuel engine in the late 80's. Those are the only two that I know about.

There was a team years ago I had seen race at Texas Motorplex in around 1990 , it was the " Eagle Cam's " top fuel dragster; it sported a custom full aluminum/mag blown and fuel inj dohc mill, though it was not on the same performance curve as the era regular kb or pisano based "492" based cars, if this engine can go into the 4's, it can compete ! I would love to see the dawn of a new era of top fuel !
