  • Stop your nonsensical rants. Russia has won. They were the first to break the last bastion in Berlin. If the allies were not other side, Europe would have been some Soviet republics, and then the USA would have lost the cold war.

    Period.

  • britian was bailed out twice ,first world war and world war two remember who took the beaches and whos tank divisions went across france to germany.england too has alot to answer for.... look over to ireland and over to your so called "colinies"reguardless they are a great band i just dont like the bashing.

  • @educateyourselffirst its true though for the most part. im an american and i have no problem saying that my country is corrupt, only a blind fool couldnt see that.

  • britian was bailed out twice ,first world war and world war two remember who took the beaches and whos tank divisions went across france to germany.england too has alot to answer for.... look over to ireland and over to your so called "colinies"

  • song is so bad, but i like it when bands have some really bad albums in their catalog, 1 or 2, shows how adventurous they are.

  • New York and California stay sick and turn blue :)

  • its ironic how america is split into 4 different sections in the background, intresting

  • I like Killing Joke's earlier stuff much better, the sentiments in this song are a bit too obvious I think when they started taking on too much inspiration from other whack eighties bads they started to lose there way for a bit...

  • @JerkJiggler Jaz was too obvious, actually. Having a band all for himself, he created Outside The gates with many old samples and his voice. Fortunately, they whole band reunited around the year this video came out and they created a masterpiece, just like the old days.

  • America is relatively tame compared to "empires" of the past. It's just that we didn't live back then so we have no idea how shitty the Brits, French, or Romans were to the world.

  • @yearofox I forgot the Spanish.

  • @yearofox dnt forget the belgins and portugese.....destorying the entrie continent of africa....fuck the british most tho....destroyers of the world in general

  • @dkr56 yeah right. the world was shitty and people were killing each other long before we came fag.

  • @UserUK201 it wouldnt of been half as bad.......many people living their lives in there own land, then a fucking british ship lands, takes their land from them, turns them into slaves, takes their crop and other mining goods and treats them as second class citizens in their on country.

  • @dkr56 Yeah right. we brought medicine, industrialization, democratic ideals, ended sati (the practice of burning women alive), etc. to a bunch of backwards thirdworld know nothings and you want to tell me they were better off living in grass huts? By the way the blacks sold other blacks into slavery you retard! way to prove you dont know what your taking about.

  • @yearofox we helped the world.

  • Great. He's singing like he's in a musical

  • Jaz does look pretty funny in this video. Regarding criticisms of America, although I wish it were otherwise, yes, America has acted in an imperialistic manner at times- mostly a result of money having too much influence on politics IMO.

    I'm American BTW.

  • Good song IMO. Does Jaz realize how hilarious he looks in this video?

  • Aside from the political message this song does suck.

  • Why is everybody debating?just enjoy the song :D

  • i prefer calling it U.S.

  • @NaruMaiden State rights have been erased in favor for a bloated excessive federal govt. The individual united states have been killed in a complete diversion from the Constitution. Im sad to say it but we are merely "America" now : (

  • black bassman

  • A so underrated album of Killing Joke, even by them, but i think it's a great one and very mature.

  • The hat makes Jaz look a bit like Steve Carell.

  • Comment removed

  • the song is great, but what makes it even better is the single's cover art has the Batman in it! look like an Aparo Batman.

  • Nice bass line

  • Ofcourse, it's by Geordie !!

  • old music is so much better than new music!!!! <3333

  • why is his drum kit so big... he doesn't use any of the toms....

  • @doodleAnoodle

but it looks sooooooooo bad ass :P and this is videoclip. Actualy it could use more patricia morrison but well ;)

  • doodleAnoodle, he does in 80's

  • TSAZ, BEBEDFPOTR

  • It's very cheezy and sounds more like a bad-guy song in a cartoon. But it's very decent still.

  • somethin like a 1980's Lex Luthor would use for his presidental campaign theme.

  • Wasn't very impressed at first, but listening again, it's not too bad. The underlying song is pretty decent, the presentation could be better though.

  • at least it's a statement, kind of

  • yes this video speaks the truth about america.

  • It does, in a criticising way. Though ofcourse, alot of Americans will just see this as another serious "I love America" song.

  • It criticises american's excess, but all of western civilisation is excessive.

  • @BELACSAMOHT Thats true. But this is rather about how america deals with this excess. In my opinion, I find it both annoying and stupid.

But hey, I'm just a european.

  • @HawK047 every negative aspect of American soceity is a hangover from our European heritage-imperialism, racism, greed, ruling classes etc. the things people like yourself are criticizing are very European behavior. Countries like Great Britain are the same as they ever were, but have cultivated a myth of progressiveness about them. They are still as imperialist as always, but the only different is that America's army is vaster, therefore seem to be the more villanous.

  • @NotNamedJones You're watching it from the wrong point of view. I dont see Great Britain weaving their nukes around while restricting them to every other country trying to develop them for their own savety, because thats where the stupidity comes in. Why would Iran launch a nuke at America? They're doing it because it renders them able to fight back. If America launches a nuke, so can they.

Europe is against nukes alltogether and even though we have an imperialist background, we matured.

  • @HawK047 I agree with the nuclear hypocrasy but saying youve matured beyong nukes is a straight lie. EU let us put nukes all over with every EU state bordering russia not to mention the arsenal UK and France have.

  • @HawK047

Such bullshit I'm so tired of people thinking America's retarded because we have a few stupid people.

  • @nirvanaenlightenment A few.:')

  • @HawK047 haters = attention. IF we are always the topic with you euros it speaks volumes.

  • @TRBNGR666 You Euros? Lol, that just speaks volumes about you friend.

  • @doctorw2 how the fuck would you know

  • @TRBNGR666 i have visited america several times and E.E. cummings statement about the united states is all too true.

  • @doctorw2 yeah about as accurately as a 1950s soviet proganda vid.

  • @doctorw2 yes if it wasnt for the us, you would all be speaking german.

  • @educateyourselffirst wrong britian could have won the war without the united states who incidently did not want to get involved in world war two at all it was only when pearl harbour happened that america decided to get involved. you lot did it for your own self intrests not out of any concern for great britian.

  • Ugggh!!...Cheezy Song Cheezy Vid, the Joke at their most insipid/uninspired, good thing they got back on track with Extremeties,Dirt And Various Emotionz...I honestly feel this was the only terrible KJ album, otherwize a kick ass career!!!

  • Let's be equitable. This really wasn't Killing Joke per se... just Jaz and Geordie. No Youth, no Big Paul, no Raven. Not the greatest record ever put out that's for sure. There were some pretty embarrassing moments like the rap (!) in "Stay One Jump Ahead," I still can't make it through that song. There were a couple of good moments on this record, too. Not enough though. I agree that "Extremities" was a return to "Honouring the Fire"

  • I love this band and this video as a document, but this song was made when they were kind of starting to blow. I did like Loose Cannon though.

  • A silver dollar for every child! Sounds familiar!

  • love this song one of Killing Jokes best :)

  • Interesting video. A little cheesy for my taste but love the band anyways!
