not entirely sure i think its a one time $40 then maybe a monthly charge not sure though check their site im sure it has it on there somewhere- i actually got an archos 5 and am returning it...battery life=terribad :(

yea but you can only use it when you have wifi- i hiiiigggghhhhhllllllyyyyy recommend putting the google apps on it as it doesnt come with it (its rather easy with a few cmd commands just look up how to put google apps on archos 5)

the trial that is included when you buy a new Archos 5 Internet Tablet doesn't

However, when the trial had ended, archos now asks you €50 to activate your GPS, so you can get Europe maps and 1 realistic 3D map.

By the way, it uses no internet. It uses a built in GPS

Features usually wont cost money but a few codecs cost money..

It doesn't need internet. It uses a gps signal, just like the kind you use in your car
