I have thought on comet Elenin...WHAT IF....blue star turns out to be the rapture of Jesus pulling all true Christians off the earth before the great tribulation. Rev 12 is quiet the Ch to read, v10..the word 'heaven' means the (the universe) and v8,9 the devil and his angels are CAST down to the earth and there was not a place found to go back into outer space again!!!Wow, could this part be the Red star Kachina...just a thought. @TrickyGap You're wrong about the comet breaking up in perihelion. It doesn't reach perihelium until Sept. 11th! That prophetic day enphamous day in history! They left that part out of the story! And reports are coming in that it is still intact as to this day. But even if it does break up that would be even worse because we're expecting to have to go thru the debris trail! And if it's as big as the reports, a small fragment could mean the size of Texas! They're lying about the size! Seriously!

@poopsy713 Horseshit, pure horseshit. Comet Elenin nucleus is no larger then 3km^3 and it is .864 au from earth right now at magnitude +6.7. Once it clears perihelion why don't you LOOK AT IT yourself like I can since it will be at 12hr 41.8min RA and -5 deg 16'. The -5 deg should be your first clue that it isn't in the earth's orbital plane. A small fragment the size of Texas is IMPOSSIBLE since it is no larger than a small mountain.

There's just one problem with all of that! We have now confirmed that it is indeed an artificial object under intelligent control. So, just yesterday a very reliable source Richard Hoagland got on Coast to Coast AM radio and confirmed that it is indeed some kind of alien ship and it's sheild that it's projecting to the tune of 300,000 km on each side! Vast overestimate, 10km diameter core of pure iron has a mass of roughly 4X10^15kg (m=4/3*pi*r^3*p). At 35,000,000km, the force on the earth is F=Gm1m2/r^2 = (6.67X10^-11)*(4X10^15)(5.98X1­0^24)/(3.5*10^10)^2 = 1.3X10^9N or 1.3 billion Newtons.

The force on the earth caused by the moon is 2*10^20N.

Earth-Jupiter = 1.2X10^18N

Earth-Venus = 6.7X10^16N

Earth-Mercury = 5.4X10^15N

Earth-Pluto = 1.4X10^11N

So, less gravitational attraction than pluto on earth!

The Earth will cross the comets orbit but the tail will not be pointed towards the sun and the earth in November. You have to agree on that

@Sionn5 Hi, I mean that the tail will definetly point away from the sun. It is in asternomy books! The comet tail is caused by solar wind. As closer the comet is to sun the bigger is the tail... for referance who missed that lesson in school see the link
