@Nekobibu i can remember watching the band you believe doesn't exist live. i don't remember their name, but she was a great singer and so i liked it. simone has a good voice, so i like it. she can have green skin and a syst the size of me on her forhead, if you have a good voice you have what it takes for music. although i agree it would be hard for them to get big with an ugly singer, the people who like the music just like the music.

Different styles fit my different moods perfectly. And I have a right to prefer Fuck the Facts to Epica. ;)

@Nekobibu well each to their own u know, i agree with the statement that Epica are successful mostly due to their hot lead singer but i personally think she has a brilliant voice, especially when she sings in operatic style.
Seems to be a few high notes in there. Plus dont forget this is done live, so you don't have the chance to do multiple takes and mix in the best one. And as was said earlier, mixing open air shows is no where near as easy as in a closed room. Still sounds like a good performance to me.

Don't forget: touring can strain your voice as well. I've seen Epica on album presentations and in the middle of tours, it really does matter. When you're on the road, it's harder to take good care of your voice, than it is sitting around the studio or doing separate gigs.
That being said, since when does the entire band have hair stylists? Yves looks like he's the only one without a ton of haircare products on him.
Beautiful vocie! Sounds better than studio recorded. Though this song is no one of my favourite from the band, the live perfomance make it better. And FUCK! Simone is HOT FOR REAL!
I am no expert but I also have a feeling she sings kinda different, as if she was lazy. But I also consider the fact that it must be hard to sing so often the way she sings, high like opera so probably it's ok if she gives a break to her voice. Maybe she doesn't wanna hurt her vocal folds.
You don't go to a Metal show to hear the album as it is. You pay for the experience. Musicians are people too they have good days and bad days. Believe me I know. To analyze every nuance of how its not like the album is pretty ridiculous and it shows that some people miss the point of a good metal show.

Having women in metal means growth, excitement, and life! Have you been to a party without women present? Pretty dull, right? Just even knowing more women are getting into metal is awesome and brings out a much more magical element of metal, just like this great band.
I know bands are meant to sound very different live that in a studio recorded CD....but still Simone soundas way different, she changed the singing style of this song way to much I already have it memorized and she used a very small amount of high notes here compared to the cd and some other live versions...then again I can´t sing even in the shower so what the hell do I know?
to be honest, it must be hard enough to be a female in a metal band anyway, especially with her style of vocals.
Then you put them live and with all the bass, distortion and such it must be fucking hard to keep her vocals in check and keep them as soft as they need to be.

Seems to be a few high notes in there. Plus dont forget this is done live, so you don't have the chance to do multiple takes and mix in the best one. And as was said earlier, mixing open air shows is no where near as easy as in a closed room. Still sounds like a good performance to me.

Don't forget: touring can strain your voice as well. I've seen Epica on album presentations and in the middle of tours, it really does matter. When you're on the road, it's harder to take good care of your voice, than it is sitting around the studio or doing separate gigs.
That being said, since when does the entire band have hair stylists? Yves looks like he's the only one without a ton of haircare products on him.

I am no expert but I also have a feeling she sings kinda different, as if she was lazy. But I also consider the fact that it must be hard to sing so often the way she sings, high like opera so probably it's ok if she gives a break to her voice. Maybe she doesn't wanna hurt her vocal folds.

You don't go to a Metal show to hear the album as it is. You pay for the experience. Musicians are people too they have good days and bad days. Believe me I know. To analyze every nuance of how its not like the album is pretty ridiculous and it shows that some people miss the point of a good metal show.

@xcmhx I only said that she doesnt't sing anymore like in their first albums...for some reason I can't hear anymore the power in her voice...compare any song live for example from the classical conspirancy with this live and you'll notice that something changed, and not in good...don't focus only on simone beauty or hotness, focus also on her voice that has changed dramatically...

I know bands are meant to sound very different live that in a studio recorded CD....but still Simone soundas way different, she changed the singing style of this song way to much I already have it memorized and she used a very small amount of high notes here compared to the cd and some other live versions...then again I can´t sing even in the shower so what the hell do I know?

to be honest, it must be hard enough to be a female in a metal band anyway, especially with her style of vocals.
Then you put them live and with all the bass, distortion and such it must be fucking hard to keep her vocals in check and keep them as soft as they need to be.
Everything Simone does is fantastic in my eyes.
