believe it or not VQ engines are pretty good.

chryslers are great lookin cars but i dont trust their endurance like i trust a japanese cars. ur friend must have over-reved the engine or didnt maintain the engine too well.

Im a huge fan of the Maximas but this body style sucks. The front is a wanna be IS300 and the back is trying to be a Camry.

Looked at one at the local stealership,fully equipped the sticker was 38,640, unreal, thats Infiniti price levels for a fugly Maxima. A real disappointment and only a fool would choose a Max now over the G35.

They screwed up bigtime, they tried to make a front drive G35 and made a Nissan Camry. Blech. No matter how it looks the CVT transmission sucks, thats why the Infinitis have the Aisin 5 speed. Maxima peaked with the 2006 models, the 07, 08s, and now 09s are just dressed up Altimas directly competing with the Camry. Nissan should do another Altima SER for the front drivers, and the 370Z is way overdue.

WOW...When did Nissan start building Accords. As they say, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em". Nissan still hasn't gotten the Maxima right. The last nice looking Maxima were the '02, '03 models (5.5 gen). I used to own one, and I won't come back anytime soon after seeing this car. The front looks as though it belongs on another car. Just UGLY...Get it together Carlos because this is pathetic. 4DSC(RIGHT!!) Good thing Infiniti and the new GTR are keeping things together... for now

Me too, that new Maxima doesn't even have an identity of its own, it looks like a Volvo from the front, a BMW from the side and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class from behind. New cars seem to be getting uglier and uglier nowadays.
