I was always touched by Waylon's story about his wife (Lynn's) treatment of his children from his previous marriages and it impressed me that he stood up for his children It definitely sounds to me like he really loved his children, wanted to provide a home for them, and was in earnest in having them live with him in another marriage, which just didn't work out.
Yeah, Ritchie really was and still is a great person, if it wasn't for him Waylon could've been shot in JD's in 1968! World would've been a horrible place if that had happened. Thank God for Ritchie.
