by far your design is one of the best ive seen yet and the most accurate, but in part of the design for the string and ring piece, if you used a safety ring(one that has a lever to put tension on the spring, it could allow you to do things like move your hand back without retracting the blade or vice versa if used for extending the blade.

Damn. If you could combine this with your hidden gun, that would be awesome! Since you made a hidden gun, you could make poison darts for your hidden blade/gun hybrid and maybe a separate hookblade. Or, you could make one hidden blade/gun and one hookblade/poison darts. That would be awesome, too. If you get your free-running skills up and have good amount of muscles. You could be an actual Assassin. Also awesome.

@lodustwister The blade is on a string that rather pulls it out (hardly possible) or it triggeres the blade to shoot out, so really if you were to punch someone no, it would no shoot out :)

Sir, you have created a well made deseign of the hidden blade. Someone give this guy the "Man, you got balls" medal. He made an excellent one, a bit more like the in-game design. Just make it about 3 inches longer and it would look pretty realistic.

@shadow7945 You need to come up with your own concept to build one. It will take too long to explain mine but it took me 8 months of drawing, prototypes, cad drawings, 3d inventor drawings, and finally refining the final product. I showed my blueprints to my engineering teacher for my finals and passed with an 98%. It make take you less time to engineer your own, it took my 8 months because it was more a like a side project i did to kill time, but it was worth it.

I have actually designed a hidden blade in autocad that will retract and expel fully automatically up to, in theory, 10 cycles per winding of the springs. However the precision required to build it is beyond my capability.
