  • Doesn't do it for me, I like the sound and feel of a real bike! It's not just transport, its the experience!

  • @devonbiker fair enough you like the sound and vibrations. People that have ridden these bikes often say they really like the completely smooth ride and the calmness in the ride that they can feel more relaxed. Ive spoken to some of the racers and they say it can actually help them to go faster because it helps smooth out their riding style. Dont get me wrong I have a crazy 2004 zx6r thats great fun, and I take it too the track on a regular basis. But id love to try these out.

  • @antmalig Yes if I had the chance I would like to try one out but I can't see me liking a battery bike over the sound of my engines - RD350R / RD500LC / Buell / GS1200adv.

  • Sorry but without sound its not the same...

  • if they used a belt drive, it would be silent

  • roy richardson is my dad whos riding this xD

  • Haha, rabbits appear near electrical motorcycles. Electric bikes are truly environmental friendly! :D

  • That's the fastest Powerwheel I've ever seen!

  • looks cool but really uncomfortable..

  • All I dislike is that there is no sound.. :/

  • still rather hear a petrol engine :D nice bike though

  • @121davo121 actually the sound is pretty cool BUT ONLY if your on the bike...you still get the sound of the wind and it kind of sounds like 'zoom' rather than 'vroom'. Kinda like an airplane taking off. It's just that the bystanders don't have to put up with noise pollution. So it's good both ways...they'll have to keep the engine sound for video games/movies etc... though...otherwise it won't 'sound' like your going fast.

  • can the electrics stand the rain and bad weather

  • @dhudson369 no more (or less) that a petrol bike!!! Most petrol bikes (non-kicks) have starter motors and a battery anyway (to turn the motor over until it runs). So it has pretty much the same electrics in it anyway...just one battery and a tiny electric starter motor to kick the engine in. This has a huge motor (DC wound brushed motor - similar to starter motor only a lot bigger) and lots more batteries and an MCU...but no engine or gas tank.

  • @ogicabp4u WTF all i asked was can the electrics stand the rain and bad weather and you right all that shit YAWN

  • Are these run on brushless motors?

  • @Vince62965 - You'd best ask brammo about this bike in particular.

At the moment more teams are using brushed DC motors than brushless.

Brushless tend to be more efficient so In theory brushless is better, but awaiting further development.

AC motors also tend to be more powerful than DC, but currently only a couple of teams are using them. Again watch the development process.

TTXGP was started to help promote development of these technologies.

  • Par contre pour savoir si qq te colle au cul...sans bruit ! Il faudra mettre un bruit synthétique...pour éviter les accrochages dans les entrée de virage...

  • Sounds like a plane

  • OMG, nice video..

  • I love how you can still hear the birds when it goes by...

  • Sounds like George Jetsons car!

  • looked kinda slugish tossing it from side to side what is the weight of this bike i now the smaller versions are pushing 400 pounds!

  • @samion33s

not sure about pounds, but the bikes weigh anything from 160kg, to over 300kg.

Depends on how the designers decided to approach the power v weight issue.

Tossing from side to side depends more on how the suspension is set-up.

  • @egrandprix well its almost more where the weight is higher or lower that will affect its turn in .... but at 300 kg is heavier than a hyabusa and those things handle like crap were say a liter bikes weight is around 350kg or 300kg and even those are heavy for most racing applications!

  • @samion33s sorry i meant most liter bikes are around 200 to 250kg

  • @samion33s yeah, certainly, and you can see the difference between the lighter Agni Motors bike and the heavier Lightning Motorcycles bike at the Infineon TTXGP race - egrandprix.tv - However since then, the Lightning bike has had some suspension work done so its getting there. The power of that bike makes up more than what it loses in the turns.

  • Nice, I was looking just for what the motor sounds like. Thanks for this video!

  • Very impressive. What was the top speed of the bike on the track?

  • Great video! Thanks for posting it. This one appears to be Mark Buckley. Is there another one with Roy Richardson?

  • Hello BrammoFan,

Its actually Roy Richardson riding the bike first, then Mark Buckley getting off the same bike at the end and chatting with Brian. I dont think we have Mark riding at Jurby, but i will check again, as there are many many hours of footage that we are currently archiving. Anthony
