I havent yet saw that same model of glasses yet all the ones Ive saw have oval shaped lenses. They are the coolest looking things and I'm wonering if I could get away with wearing these on holiday in place of my ordinary glasses lol.

Ive benen able to find out that the brand of glasses are Julbo and are supposed to be for mountaineering etc as they cut out uv light. Ive just saw a clip where Pete Burns in the 80's was wearing the same pair and Also at the end of the Ian Dury movie Sex And Drugs And Rock And Roll Andy Serkis can be seen wearing a red pair. Your right they do look kick ass lol I have a friend who would also love a pair.

I always thought it was interesting that Thompson Twins used a live rhythm section when they toured. On the albums, it's a drum machine and synth bass on most of their stuff.

@ToxicPunkRules - They are called Desert Sunglasses. The one's Tom is wearing are harder to find now, but I used to have a pair back in Jr High School.

@ToxicPunkRules They are actually julbo mountaineering/glaciering sunglasses. Just go to ebay and type in julbo sunglasses and you'll find them. I bought mine off there for about 128. Very 80's and you'll get some looks but a lot of people will think they're cool and different.

Now this was REAL synth music. BTW I have not met any of them, seen them live in 1986, but Alannah went through a lot of stuff in her life so maybe there was something going wrong that day you met. Thanks for posting this.

binker. yes, very gorgeous. i had a crush on him during this time, & the irony was there was a guy in one of my classes in HS who looked SO much like Tom, & his name was Tom too! he always distracted me from my studies though since i would just sit there & stare at him in class. lol. Tom B though was very hot & i really like his profile. he has a nice nose & his bottom pouty lip. loved this red hair too. oh, i wish TT would re-unite! cheers again for uploading this, the quality is outstanding!

tee hee...the bottom lip always got me too!! how funny...i always had a deep rooted hatred for allanah though, such jealousy!! i met them once, not long after this video, and they were so lovely...all except her! we were only around 13/14 at the time and had sneaked off school to spend the day waiting for them...they were really lovely to us, and kept coming out to see us...in the end joe gave us £5 to get a taxi home after the gig as we'd spent all our money...so sweet!

hi again binker. i'm glad that you see the appeal in Tom's lips too ;) & that's SO awesome that you met them!! i can understand your jealousy about Alannah, but that's a shame she wasn't nice to you. maybe she couldn't handle all the girls who liked Tom? cool tho that Tom & Joe were lovely to you & Joe even gave you a fiver for a taxi. wow, that's very sweet indeed! you're so lucky you got to meet them, i'm sure you'll treasure that always, not everyone can say they met TT!! cheers to that :)

i'd only agree if they limited it to performing quick step and into the gap...although the chances of them having a reunion seem a little bleak...she now makes chairs with bits of dead animals stuck on them and isn't tom a producer...not sure what happened to jo...they were great live, i agree!
