  • smoke weed not meth

  • This is incredible! Blues, glitch, grime, industrial, blended together in such a unique way. I can't wait to buy this album--on sale at amazon right now for seven bucks for 15 songs! I shared this one out all over, have to hit that repeat button a bunch of times too, wow.

  • Great song to listen to when depressed. It would really cheer me up!

  • tweaker

  • man, this song is like a blow in the head.

  • im happy that stuff isnt as easy available here in europe than it is in america or asia... ill stick to regular speed.

  • @OriginalSliz I'm from Sweden and i do Meth every single day infact i just did some 10 minutes ago, so your theory is wrong. I also lived for a short while in London where Meth is very popular in some areas. In the last three years meth has become very popular in pretty much all of europe.

  • It would be kind of cool if this song was played in an episode of Breaking Bad. That's an awesome show about meth.

  • the only anti-drug piece that's ever worked for me.

  • @IdahoMasher

its not really anti-drug song hes saying that being on meth is heaven and doesn't wanna come down.

  • @bakersk8r41

i get you. the haunting empty of this song sticks with me though,

"rollin to keep on rollin," getting up just to be up. the worst sinners in hell believe themselves to be in heaven.

  • @IdahoMasher cool story bro; needs moar dragons and shit

  • I like how all the advertisements for this video are for help getting clean and sober.

  • If you play this song doubled over its self so that the drums keep double-time it is freakin' sweet.

  • solid dude, backed hard!

  • Can't stop listening to this. Somehow, Mark has almost perfectly put the effects of meth in a song, if that makes sense.

"I don't wanna leave this heaven so soon."

    Very, very true...

  • SUGAR SOOO SWEET

    Yes children.

  • soo good!

  • i love uppers i love cocain but heroin is cheaper and far mor addicting no matter what they say. shooting speedballs is fun but god pure dope is much bettter. drugs will ruin your life tho. so if you think its cool to do heroin and coke and all that think again. do as i say not as i do. its such a strong addiction that i cant even listen to my own advice. drugs really do ruin lives. you hear that in school and go there so fucking wrong i can control my actions. well you will see what hell is...

  • @lovebattery100 Much respect for sharing. I feel the same exact way, i remember always thinking "i got this" or i'm just going to go once more and taper down.. it is possible to get out of it though. i think, mb its literally impossible psychologically.. just wish sometimes i could flip a brainswitch and go comatose come back in 2 months and experience life w/o addictions. good luck and good speed

  • @lovebattery100

yeah definitely abusing any chemical is harmful and you can fall under addiction and not realize it with amphetamines which is quite scary.I'm a functioning tweaker though and through abusing this substance it didn't negatively harm my life, school, jobs,friendships,etc.. but eventually it will take a tole on you heart and memory. and you'll be 26 years old with bad heart pains and a constantly racing thought process.its a great feeling and it makes life 500thousand times easier

  • @lovebattery100

but it will catch up to some day.The good thing about uppers is the no physical withdraw part makes it very easy to quite unlike opiates alcohol and benzos but its just as easy to relapse.( oh and by the way im writing this comment spun out)

  • Mine is more like Opiate Blues..though i could do with some Adderall right now..

  • C-C-C-C-C-COCAINE!

  • blast this song LOUD make big fat meth lines, power through the pain ,breath out ahhh do somthin nasty , make some weard shit ,repeat, bad bad bad, that song is evil! makes me want to be bad bad bad! but any time lanegan. ile do it daddy!! do you think he made it so seductive on purpose ? or maybe its just me.

  • @melowdeedee it is suductive yes he did that on purpsose that is the path of addiction if it werent suductive would you do it again and again? nope trust me it just like drugs itsleft

  • Nicotine, valium, vicodine, marihuana, extacy and alcohol

  • It's PJ Harvey, do your research. You obviously have access to the internet.

  • @wasternumber1 you're wrong , is Natasha Shneider , she and Alain produced engineering and collaborated on the songs, even you can hear to Alain in some moment, PJ , sang in Hit The City

  • @desertblitzkrieg

...oh shit, you're right (proceeds to bury head in the sand). Damn you wikipedia! Now i look like an idiot. Sorry

  • lanegan spacca il culo a tutti.

  • this man reminds me some kind of leonard cohen, tom waits, iggy pop of stonerrock

  • I soo must laugh at the title. Been there, done that & never again..

  • Is it Natasha Shneider (RIP) in the background? It's definitely Alain Johannes on backing guitar. Also, I'm pretty sure Josh Homme's wife is on this album, could be her.

  • @Doyalsan Why don't you check out Wikipedia ya dumbass.

  • @MrBackdoorable Take a little blue pill

  • @insertpithycomment why do people keep saying that?? its not clever anymore

  • @Doyalsan hope not, brody dalle is a talentless sellout whore...i'd rather her taint didn't foul this up.

  • I tried to come up with a genre for this song and I would say it's "Industrial Blues".

  • @humanbass High five!

  • luv this song,on amphetamine i get the blues so sweet

  • Why must I love everything that has even the slitghtest connection with Queens of the Stone Age? Why?

  • @SCORPIONewman man you're not alone!!!!!!!! that happens to me too

    QOTSA best band ever :D

  • i think the beat is made by an old drummachine, the ones you can't programme but have 8 drumbeats and that's it. with a little real drum sounds played on top. those drummachine's sounded like shit in a good way. listen to suicide's first recordings, they were pioneers.

  • PJ Harvey on backing voxs

  • I fucking LOVE driving to this song with the bass cranked. :)

  • The distorted vocals, the blacksmith-y sound in the background, and the creepy guitar feedback make this song so fucking amazing. Mark Lanegan is a boss. I wish more people knew of his music. Whiskey for the Holy Ghost is one of my favorite albums right now.

  • Is that Josh Homme at around 2:04?

  • @TheHedgehogss those solos gotta be his

  • @TheHedgehogss or maybe alain johanes

  • @TheHedgehogss I think it's PJ singing lower. But porsaspersereika is probably right about the solo's.

  • First Mark Lanegan solo song I've ever heard. My mind is already blown!

  • This is one of the coolest songs I've ever heard. So fucking awesome, the production is incredible and it seems like he completely translated a meth high into music without any compromise.

  • This song would be so good in Breaking Bad.

  • @arbitrarymudkips You stole my words! :)

  • ahahahahahaha....hit it.

  • damn, they actually captured the sound right, holy shit. sounds great.

  • I wonder if someone's got the light turned low and the back door open, fucked up, listening to this song over and over? Probably somewhere at a Starbucks, this is in fact, taking place!

  • this song reminds me of every ex-methhead I've ever met... the songs so hollow and sinister, meth just takes your soul and burns it away. No matter how long you're off it you just cant get the old you back.

  • @mmccormack09 as I agree, I do hope you are wrong. I fooled around for 2 years with it and simply got away. I havent seen it almost 3 years and I dont miss a fuck about it. Talk about some freaks I came across during those time, but hey, I`ve never had bliss since. Life turned dull in a way. Thanks for pointing that out

  • @mmccormack09 kewl story bro, needs moar dragons and shit

  • WoW! beware children! lanegan is gonna attack tonite!

  • lanegan and duff thats a fucking great combo!!! i love the high cymble or whatever it is , adds to the constant driving

  • @uninvited13 He must have tore the shit out of a Roland-808 making this record, its awesome!

  • i agree totally with ya dude's, from a womans point of view, his voice is a great addition for foreplay...gets me goin everytime :):)

  • I love that laugh its so sinister

  • why didn't anyone tell me about this guy? He's a fucking genius.Have I got catching up to do!

  • @q5e7f u sure as shit do,welcome to the fold brother,u are now one of us,lol, god that sounds creepy but i mean it

  • I dont know why they mixed the cymbal hits so high in the song....it has an adverse effect on the overall aesthetic of the track.

  • @ceejinator999 i think thats exactly the aesthetic they were aiming for, and thats why they mixed it as such. it sounds really spacey, kinda like being really high, almost to the point of tripping, on stimulants.

  • @PieceofMindmusic You hit the tweaked-out nail on the head, sport!

  • @LeshaAnn - Grassy ass, Sinyour. I'm now going to go smoke crack & meth and then sprint down to Starbucks before my buzz dies.

  • this record is a masterpiece

  • This whole album is the shit , mark seems to find himself in the middle of other talented folks.

  • hypnotizing, reminds me of helter skelter a lot..

this is the kind of song you listen when you're about to do something bad.

  • @dhoulkarnain damn, youre right about helter skelter,i never thought of it til now

  • Fucking awesome.

  • Mark Lanagen is the shit

  • the brightest of darkness !!!!!!!!!! lanegan fucks it up !!!

  • I feel like this song was written about old Charlie Manson if you know what I mean?

  • The beat and bassline definitely remind me of the Beatles' Helter Skelter.

  • @Palominoid I was just about to post the same thing.

  • Well then, there you go. We're on to something...

  • You can actually picture the Beatles singing the lyrics over it :D

  • He sings while listening Tom Waits in his head.

  • waouh one of the better singer of all time

    1 Layne Staley

    2 Mark Lanegan ;)

  • numero uno

  • kurt Cobain,josh homme,john garcia...

  • ah here now come on they aint in the same league as mark and layne

  • Quite possibly the most under rated vocalist of all time..

  • thats pretty bad ass, nick oliveri at the beginning brings a hole new dont give a fuck to this track

  • I bet that laughing in the beginning is nick oliveri

  • yes he is

  • I love this song it reminds me of tom waits with a bit of rocking outness

  • thank god he is keeping things low profiled.i definitely loved the vocals on queens but seriously masses dont deserve him..

  • mark lanegan is one of the great artists of the last decade

  • @SunPun360 two decades even....

  • mindblowing!

  • one of my favorite songs
