  • @Aspergerqueen

You were right and so were the cards; he did fell in love with me !

He called me, all nervous and shy wanting to see me.

He regrets he hurt me and I feel in love again to !

Thank you Ace of Cups !! <3

  • @Aspergerqueen

Thank you, this is verry nice of you.

Yes, I used to have Hope in the past (Left card).

And wondering now if I have the strenght to accept the offer (ace of cups) !

    I'll see him saturday, so we'll see what'll happen ! :)

  • Thanks for doing this. I have been learning to read tarot and the Celtic Cross can be a little daunting at times due to how much the meanings of the different positions differ. This would be good for doing more accurate readings in a simpler way that gives the practice of actually reading the cards as a whole. Instead of having to strive to remember ten different position meanings and card meanings. Especially if all you need is a simple answer.

  • @SeramiNefera You make good points. I find that if a question can be answered with a Yes or a No, then do a Yes-No spread. You can use 3, 5, 7, 9 or more cards so you can get a lot of detail

  • is it important to read the cards that are upside down?

  • @notintodo12 I think so - they will give information about why something didn't work (if in the past) or why something is not going to work out, of a glitch that might happen so you can take precautions or set things up differently. So a reversed court card can mean that the person you are depending on won't be able to do what they say they will, so get a backup person or change things so you aren't dependent on someone else.

  • @johnballantrae001 does this also apply in all readings? i mean not just the yes or no questions?

  • @johnballantrae001

I really like how you make a story out of those 3 cards.

    It makes sense .

I tried your reading technique and asked the cards of my former lover would fall in love with me again.

I got from left to right ( used 3 cards like you) :

Star - Strength - Ace of Cups ( All Upright)>

Could you give me your humble opinion on this?

  • when you turned the cards you turned it in a way that it changed from upright to upside down! When you turn the card do you have to turn it the way you did?

  • @anamarcelavsb Thanks for your comment. I know what you are getting at, but I always turn cards the same way and always have turned them this way so whatever it is that produces a right answer knows that this is my method and the cards will be the 'right' way before I turn them. I had an excellent teacher and this is what she taught me and I follow her advice. Do you have to turn them this way? No, but I do. I think it's correct, but I can't prove it. Hope this helps.

  • Can the question be asked in your head or do you have to ask it out loud?

  • @rastan1977 You can ask the question in your head if you want, of course. However, it's a good idea to write it down as well because it's so easy to forget the actual wording - and this can be important once you have the cards chosen and turned over.

  • Simply a brilliant method!

  • @SingedMomma It is pretty useful. Sometimes people are worried that they might get the wrong answer, but we should remember that you can take away people's sense of living their own chosen life if you always give them the right answer.

  • @johnballantrae001 thank you for these great videos, I just discovered them. Question regarding this spread: I got first reversed (10 pents), second upright (Death), third upright (2 pents). I suppose it's a yes, but not sure how to interpret Death here, at center. I'd appreciate your input. Wondering if it's a yes in the next life, or after a major ending/transition? Q was asking if would hear from ex partner. Thank you.

  • johnballantrae001 again I have a question: After receiving an answer to a question, how many more times during a lifetime the question can be asked and the Tarot spreaded, please ? One time only, or wait months and ask again ? Is the answer sealed for ever ?

  • @asderso I think that asking again and again until you get an answer that you like is a mistake. If you ask and get an answer, and then conditions change at a later date, it should be ok to ask again and you will be able to trust the answer.

I think that if we treat the Tarot with respect and with a desire to understand, it will always give us correct information.

  • @johnballantrae001 thank you again, I feel your vibe helping me calmly and giving me a good feeling; I just read minutes ago that in order to have the Tarot, but also any type of "oracle" like Astrology, etc. to respect and to help me is best to only ask the question concentrated and with a pure intention ONCE, and accept the answer as it is. Close enough to your reply...

  • johnballantrae001 thank you for the simplicity I needed... cards need to be separated before the spread, Major Arcana from the Minor one, etc... and deal only with the one with images, please ? Or it can be done using the whole deck ?

  • @asderso I use the whole deck, but the one I use - Rider Waite - has pictures on all cards so I don't need to separate them.If your deck has pictures with only the Majors, use them, or buy a Rider Waite deck. It is the most useful, I think, for doing readings that everyone can relate to and understand.

  • @johnballantrae001 thank you, it's so good to see you are on line, I can feel a good vibe from you, have a nice day !

  • @asderso Thanks for your good wishes. I am the guest on Tarot Today on Blog Talk Radio at 3pm Eastern time this Saturday, November 13. I'll be demonstrating the Horoscope spread and talking about how to read cards. You can listen later in the Archive section if you can't listen live.

  • @johnballantrae001 thank you for the info, I'll carry on and listen to you.

  • I'm still new to tarot but I don't get all these 'rules'. Seems to me like the rules are a great guideline but listening to the cards is what should be paramount, but what do I know, I'm a noob.

  • you need to give lessons to people, ud make alot of money out of this..your voice is very helpful, you also got me talking like you :)

    god bless

  • Mister. Im not sure if you are FLIPPING the cards the right way!

YOU ARE actually turning them upside down instead of turning the over, so im not really convince here!

YOU MUST PRECISE how the card must be turned!

  • I use this method

  • hey u change the position of the cards when u face up the cards, the real position was 2 down 1 up

  • k never mind...i just heard the last part...either way its double yes or double no..

  • are you saying that no matter what..if the middle card is upright, it would be yes yes...and reversed would be no no...OR is it just that way with the knights...

    sorry..got a little confused

  • It might be confusing, but sometimes there is no yes or no, at least not yet.

Someone can ask: Will I get the job?, but this person may have doubts in a few days that changes what he or she wants.

So the person can hear of another or better job, or decide he wants to relocate to another city.

This can change the questioner's desire, He or she is not really ready for a yes or no.

Getting a :Maybe" can allow for more thought or a change of plan. This can be useful.

  • why you need a Maybe.

    a maybe is confusing.

  • C C Zain wrote that what the Tarot can be made to reveal is limited only by the understanding of the reader. I think a reading is a bit like a poem with many layers and meanings and it's up to the reader to describe or explain to the questioner how the poem relates to their question. Or it's a painting - so the Mona Lisa might be saying: Keep your secrets. to yourself. Etc.

  • The more I learn the more I realize the the final parameters are set by the reader. Thank you for expanding on the variables and the basics. It keeps me on track but out of the box!

  • OK. I'll try to have something at YouTube by the end of this week - around the 10th.

  • Hi There again, not sure if I asked u this before or not - can u do a vid on court cards? I always find it hard to figure out if I'm seeing what the card stands for or if it's an actual person...and I still love ya vids!

  • Dear Spikette:

Thanks for your note. If you would like videos about particular questions you might have, let me know.

  • I enjoyed this. I'm just starting to learn the Tarot and this was very helpful. Thank you :)
