So Bobby, when you're not cooking in the kitchen, you're cookin' on the guitar. Great cover. What's your guitar? And where are you sitting and what's that behind you? Just curious.
Wooow it´s amazing, I love it, this is my favorite song and I love your cover. could I use it to record a song with my voice?? Please?? I really like, and is the first version that stays with my tone. Congratulations
Wooow it´s amazing, I love it, this is my favorite song and I love your cover. could I use it to record a song with my voice?? Please?? I really like, and is the first version that stays with my tone. Congratulations
@francis9888 Thanks man. Fingerstyle is a bit different to "normal" guitar styles, playing melody and bass and rhythm all at the same time. Other guitarists watch with interest at how it's done, but like with any guitar style there is no trick, just practice practice practice :) Glad you like my stuff, give some of it a try!
amazing, im loving it, you are such a great player, ive downloaded a few of the tabs and ive learnt them, and im so happy to be able to play some peices you performed, wish i could donate, id donate millions if i could
I'm glad to hear the tabs are working out for you. No probs about donation; putting up tabs for free is my "giving back to the internet" - I've used plenty of tabs by others, it's good to return the favour, and to hear that people are enjoying them!
your tabs are truely amazing, and when i can ill be sure to give a donation, might not be for a long time but when i can ill be sure to do it, you and your tabs are worth every single penny
You´re one of the best guitar players i have ever seen on youtube, keep doing this job, because it´s very useful for beginners guitarists like me...and it must be very pleasent for you to play and show to the world your talent....thanks mate!
i created an account just so i could say your awesome :P just bought myself a guitar a couple of days ago with the intent to self teach and now thanks to you i got a few songs to work up to!
Thanks! Start with simple stuff, get a few lessons to begin with to make sure you get the basic techniques right, persist and practise - playing the guitar is not easy - but most of all enjoy yourself :)
Two people asked me almost the same question at the same time...forgive me for not making the response unique...maybe I should add the response to my FAQ?
i think he looks like adam sessler a little, and my dad thinks he looks like one of the characters from the show "the shield." guess he's a master of disguise, lol.
Playing 30 years? I have to empathise. I too have played decades and should be a virtuoso by now. Only in the last year or so has my playing started to improve, likewise because of Open spirits such as yourself willing to share and teach their talents. Thanks Aussie!
I'm sure if we had been playing for a living for 30 years we'd be virtuosos by now. It was only in my early to mid 30's that I was mature enough to _really_ appreciate the guitar - the first 25 years I was just mucking around ;)
im still in the mucking around stage, lol. mainly because i can't remember enough of a song off the top of my head to play it all at once. i think i have A.D.D.
Love your playing and your arrangements. Thank you so much for sharing the tablature. I've been playing 25 years and am learning a lot from you! How about some classic tv themes (MASH would be great!)
Thanks! I've been playing for 30 years and I only in the last 3 years learnt how to play like this - from watching other people on youtube...so I'm glad I am able to return the favour.
UncleParsnip does a great MASH theme and he has the tabs - do a search for him.
Hi Jaw, got a quick question I've been practicing this for a while now and I've been trying to do the chords the traditional way but it seems alot harder to play. What I mean is, I notice that you play the A chord with one finger barring the 3 strings, instead of using 3 fingers. Anyways the way you are playing it makes it easier to move from chord to chord, but I'm wondering is this a habit I shouldn't be picking up or is it ok to improvise in such a way, thanks.
Good question! If you asked me 15 years ago I would have said tsk, tsk, that would be picking up bad habits. That's my classical background speaking.
I've mellowed a lot over the years and now it is more of a case "if it is easier, and it is comfortable, do it" which is why you'll see one finger barring just a few strings, see the thumb coming over onto the bass string, etc.
So got for it - as long as it works for you and doesn't hurt (short and long term).
Btw, also wanna thank you for having the courtesy to help out aspiring guitarists and put up the tabs, there's a lot of selfish guys on youtube who don't bother and just wanna show off like they created the song. Thanks again man and keep up the good work!
I've been playing the guitar for almost two years now and I really hope that one day I can play this well. Listening to you play put a smile on my face, thank you.
Thanks again for your tabs, Jaw. Finally got California Dreaming down after a month of hammering away, another 2 or 3 months and I should have it good enough to attempt a video response! This one's next - keep up the great work - playing and transcribing!
nice work. thanks for the tab. i have my own version of this. im gonna add some bits from yours/naudo's to make a new version. its a great piece to play...almost like playing bach. its bonzer!!!. pity you cant do the Aussie salute whilst playing guitar. hope the bush oyster clears up soon.
Well Done. I think you are the first to tackle a Naudo arrangement. Keep posting. By the way I really enjoyed the Michael Chapdelaine Calif. Dreaming you tabbed out. It took me awhile and I still have some trouble with the High E string bends, but thank you very much for sharing.

Real nails. They aren't very long (they don't last long on steel as you can guess) I think it was the sun catching them that made them look longer than they actually are (about 4mm on fingers and 5mm on thumb).
