'I do not like the reappearance of The Jesuits ... If ever there was a body of men who merited damnation on earth and in hell, it is this society of Loyola's. Nevertheless, we are compelled by our system of religous toleration to offer them an asylum.' John Adams, 2nd President of the U.S.A
the lyrics were given to the prodigy album 'fat of the land' - by kula shaker. the intro on this song - is a slowed down version of climbatize from 'fat of the land'. the prodigy reference ends there. this is a kula shaker tune and a mighty fine one. kula shaker are a very clever band - they probably used climbatize as a respectful nod of the cap. they didnt need to. the bass line (disputed below) is by alonza from kula. either way. turn it up !
@KRUSTYskates A cover is always necessary. In concealment lies a great part of our strength. Hence we must always hide ourselves under the name of another society. --Die neusten ararbeiten des Spartacus and Philo in dem Illuminaten-Orden, 1794, p: 165
This is taken from page 491 of Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco. 'Coincidentally' Umberto Eco has written the introduction to the newly printed version of Alexandre's The Count of Monte Christo.
This version is from 07 and is a cover of The Prodigy song Narayan (lyrics) from 97 but also includes a backing track in the song from Climbatize from the same album. The lyrics for Narayan were written by Crispian Mills and Liam Howlett in 97 with Crispin on vocals on both versions. The Prodigy - Narayan track also used a ‘Recycled’ sample from Climbatize. Oh and the horns in Climbatize and on this track were originally sampled from Egyptian Empire – The Horn Track. Hope that clears that up!
@TheyBastardisedJesus originally from Prodigy featuring Crispian Mills as singer (1997). Crispian Mills - Kula Shaker is using elements of the song since then.
