  • lol he runned over his Pants

  • I love it but the color kinda makes me feel like I'm gonna puke. In my opinio. I mean I love thread banger

  • i really liked this

  • I tried this method. It doesn't really "dye" the jeans per se. You get a very stale, poorly saturated look, not even "vintage" is what I would call it - just a sickly, faded look. Not my cup of joe (pun intended). My BEST recommendation is liquid Rit dye. Besides, espresso runs close to $10 a pack/jar (even at Wal-Mart), when a bottle of Rit is under $3 at the most. Experience is my teacher. I also own a clothing company where I design steampunk costumes by hand. Love your videos anyway, guys!

  • Turmeric and sharp sand give a good yellow tint too

  • Works with recycled used coffee grounds. Can't believe they didn't suggest that!

  • Does it work with old used coffie???

  • your videos take too damn long to load, fyi

  • it's funny how people pay hundreds of dollars for distressed jeans when it only costs a couple of bucks to do it yourself.

this is why i love threadbangers! ;)

  • hey guys im going to a wedding and i would like to make a maxi dress for it thanxz a 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  • does anyone know how to pencil jeans?

  • is instant coffee ok? O.o

  • does anybody kno if the color would wash out after a bunch of washes?

  • HAHAHAHA!!! I LOVE corinnes face at the end!!!!!!

  • Damn it! I really wanted to see what Damnedsoul53 said >:(

  • Warning. please don't rund your car over your jeans, It made my tire smell like coffee

  • Plus they'll smell GREAT!

  • I 'm going to use that.....great idea.....Thanks for sharing!

  • COOL!! I loved this video! Cheese Grater-- just gave mine 2 my dad but I sure as hell going over to get it back.

  • @AironlikesApplesAuse That's exactly what I was thinking O.o

  • sock so muchh !!

  • @AironlikesApplesAuse ur mum hehehehhehheh

  • @Damnedsoul53 nut they're so much more fun to make XD

  • @Damnedsoul53 that's the most fucking JEANious idea ever :D! i love blowing $200 plus on a pair of jeans; who needs to eat when you can look stylish!

  • @Damnedsoul53 "Without looking trashy"? But they look exactly like a pair that I bought a few years ago from a department store! You wash them out, so it's not like they're caked in coffee grounds. The ones you buy in stores probably go through a similar process to get the vintage look, but the stores probably use a nasty chemical to dye their fabric. And pre-torn jeans are really popular right now. Hundred bucks a pair at some stores. I say use the cheesegrater you've already got!

  • so cool eh!??

  • love this channel !! i was just trying to come up with natural dyes.

  • love diy projects and like your site.

  • Hi can u do a tuturial on how to shrink jeans?:) please nd thank you!

  • I can tell these guys probly make their own brew as well :)

Maybe post a vid of sum hobo cydarrr?

    ... Althrough I could be wrong.. CRUSTIEZ 4 LYf3

  • @menderfire9 dang whata beeetch.

  • do you put soap in the washer when you wash em the first time?

  • Rad? Pah! They look fake, like all pre-distressed denim. You should buy raw denim (untreated deep indigo) and wear them for six months without washing. If they begin to smell, soak them in tepid water, dry naturally, spray with Febreze, then carry on wearing. After a year, you will have the most beautiful, PERSONAL, and real looking wear lines...even holes. At this point, throw them in the washer and wash them at 60 degrees. You now have distressed jeans money cannot buy...they'll look amazing.

  • @slitheen ew

  • @hpthunter

Google 'don't wash your jeans' and see how many hits you get. Nudie Jeans, the £200 per pair designer jeans company, actually tell you not to wash them - look for the 'Nudie jeans wash guide' here on Youtube! You can combat smells and bacteria by many other methods, without damaging them with water and chemicals. Natural, untreated raw denim has a waxy like surface that repels dirt for many months anyway.

  • never thought of running over your jeans. xD good one.

  • yeah, or you could just wear them and enstead putting so much work into looking cool infront of your friends you could do something productive.

  • I love this idea but I don't think you showed what they looked like when finished. Can you use coffee grounds that have already been brewed rather than unbrewed coffee?

  • does it still look brown when you wash it?

  • "Mm. Chocolate Ripple."

  • thre's also this thing called, wearing jeans for a vhile...you know...the old school method :D:D

  • Stupid question but could u get the same effects if u did it white a white cotton/polyester tee shirt?

  • Thanks man, like the clip. I have a few old pairs to check it out with, also maybe i'll do some "Goodwill Hunting." this weekend. The Goodwill is a treasure chest for things like this. Thanks!

  • lol you guys are amazing major respect points!!!!

  • would you guys please do something about tie dying!

  • you can also do a quicker variation of the same thing but instead of leavin em overnight put em in the sun

  • I know guys who pay like 100 quid for jeans like that XD

  • what would happen if I did this to pair of light tan shorts?

  • I dyed some fabric in tea for a project in school, putting the fabric in a big bowl, and one of my classmates tought I was eating some nasty lookin soup XD

  • hehe.., can you believe I tied my jeans in a bridge and hunders of people step on it,, then i got it,, haha,, vintage style,, make sure there no poop steped in your pants.

  • holy shit you just became my best friend haha...ive been doing some narley mods to cloths for years...helps having an x hippie for an aunt lol

totaly inspired by the bean trick. is it perminent?

  • just wondering do the jeans have any kind of coffe smell afterwards? cause that would be awesome and annoy people who are like "whos got coffe?" although no one has a cup.

  • LMAO at the car! :D

(prefer the old ThreadBanger like these)

  • how can you stop new jeans losing their colour? my mum soaks them in salt water to lock in the dye, but they still turn my legs blue untill theyve been washed a few time. Is there a better way?

  • Run it over with your car! Lol xD haha

  • "Erm, I wouldn't drink that if i were you.." lol

  • isnt it easier to buy dye? just a sincere question mind? and cheaper?

  • no

    plus dye will be harsssh

this is light and not really cheaper

    waste of coffe though

  • man im so doing tHIS!

  • how would you blink up high heel shoes

  • haha freakin' hilarious xD Very good Info ^^

  • im so running over my jeans :)

  • HELL YEA

  • yay!!! no more ironing I just run it over my car!! love this!!!

  • isnt it going to get back to the original colour after x washes?

  • I love how you say "you can always run em over with your car"!

  • me too

  • GREAT INFO!!! :)

  • roll it over with your fucking car its fucking genius.

  • @imgonnakillyoo man i couldn't help but lol at that haha

  • And since when do we have to listen to a blasted advertisement in order to watch a how-to DIY on Threadbanger? Shame, shame, shame on you Threadheads!

  • @menderfire9 well they gotta make money SOMEHOW.

  • @menderfire9 if you push f5, it skips the advertisement. learned that yesterday. :)

  • I've foolishly done the coffee thing several times over the years because it NEVER worked. I don't know if these guys really did it or just took some pictures and zapped out a quick video, because experienced artists will tell you coffee is not the bomb to die for dying cloth.

  • THIS DID NOT WORK!!!! omfg wasted my time the jeans never got that vintage look i did it for 3 days dying them nuthing happened

  • Expresso= some kind of train.

    Common mistake.

  • lol... do you have to run them over with your car lol.......

  • i dont think so... lol

  • Nicee!

  • sounds great up until the cheese grater... o.O i'm thinking: y??? lol

  • great idea. but im wonderin if the color would wash out ova tyme?? =] still great idea

  • yes it will

  • ITS EESSSSPRESSO!!!

    NOT EXPRESSO

where is the x in espresso?

  • that's really cool!

  • There's no X in Espresso.

  • Omg, it helps me a lot thanks 5/5

  • so did that turn the jeans black?! or did the jeans have only those brown lines?!

  • just looked like a light tan stain all over them

  • awesome, loved the video

    =)

  • Wow! I really want to do that.

You guys are so cute =)

  • hmmm....

  • This is filthy! Literally! :D

  • Haha, I get a lot of hand-me-down jeans from my friends that usually don't fit quite right, so I draw all over them and rip 'em up. It makes me like 'em a lot more. XD

  • Check out the yellow sub cookie jar!

  • Agree, his techniques were actually good but he messed up those jeans!

  • Cute.. I Looove coffe..

And I think youre gona be smelling like coffe for a few weks

    -------

    Sorry about my english o'_'o

  • you wash them after duuuh

  • it doesn't matter, coffe beans are so fragrant

  • lol awesome! gonna try this XD

  • AWESOMEEEEEEEE!!!!

I'll try to do that cuase I made a pair of jeans and look rather new and don't like haha..

  • wowo

  • fuck up those jeans!

  • "Expresso grade" :D

  • haha im glad someone noticed.

  • lol you can always run them over with your car.haha!

  • why?

  • didn't work for me. I left them in for 3 days!

  • from this video i have destroyed almost all my jeans. :D, most of its from rolling on the roof.

  • ??????

  • lol "I would'nt drink that if I were you" then she's like ookayyy eww I'm just gonna set it down then..

  • RUN EM OVER WIT ER CAR WOO HOO!!!

  • Kids these days like jeans that look old, so they buy ripped jeans, which somehow cost more than normal jeans, (lolwhat) So cheese grating a normal pair of jeans to make it look "old and used" can save you money :P

  • lol not a bad idea

  • LOL!!

  • lmao thats why if u hear quitly they say that they use old jeans

  • i wouldn't buy new jeans for this! this is mostly for someone who has an old pair of jeans that they want to turn into a whole new pair. also, sometimes it's actually cheaper to buy the new jeans and destroy them yourself than it is to buy the pre-ripped ones.

  • is it okay to dye fabrics(denim) with hair dyes?

  • my granma loves this coffee

  • hahahhh thats funny.

you can always run over it with your car.

    that's pretty smart.

  • Yes...

'How did you make your jeans look so ... used?' - I ran them over with my car, of course^^....

    Thanks

  • Great idea! I'm goin to go try it now. Thanks!

  • "Um, I wouldn't drink that if I were you..."

    *Gulps* XD <3!

  • omg i tried this, it is AWESOME, thanx thread bangers!!

  • where are the links for the other color dies???

  • i will do this :P

  • ROFLL.

    chocolate ripple... mmm...

orr you can always run them over. i'm going to try that.

  • mmhmm..

    chocolate ripple

    lmao XD

  • But wait theres more, your jeans will help you stay awake all day, question do they smell like coffee afterwards?

  • love you guys!

  • I'd make sure that when you wash your jeans you don't put any other clothes in there as well. Lol.

    Great vid.

  • can you guys do a show on making old regular/straghit legged jeans and making them in to skinny jeans

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!! :-)

  • i wanted to try that but my mom said i was crazy to even think about doing it to my jeans! but it was a really cool idea though!

  • red wine dye!

  • how did you do it?

  • just a suggestion going to try it this weekend

  • you could always Do some actual Physical work in them . Give them that dirty look with ...actual Dirt ! =D .

  • Wow! Imagine that.

    (lmao)

  • lol good idea! :]

  • nice

  • i'm having trouble with the cheese grater part...

  • my clothes are like that anyway ... I just wear them a lot ... If i did this my clothes would fall apart

  • omg all that work. and after that i'll probably smell like starbucks.

  • Its ESpresso. There is no X in there.

Sorry, after working for a coffeeshop it happens.

  • Does the stain ever wash out completely over time? I don't wanna have to soak em in coffee ever few months..

  • i wouldnt drink that if i were you

  • Yeah, that always peeves me. You pay more for beat up clothing in the stores than you do for quality, good conditioned clothing. If you want your stuff to look beat up, do some hard manual labor that's gonna get you dirty. Best thing to do, is a roof. They eat through jeans like nothing. Stain em up good too.

  • Hell yeah man, kno what ya mean, I wore new jeans on the first day of fixing my grandpas barn roof, ended up burning friction holes through the back pockets from sliding down the roof

  • HAHHA runn em over :)

  • lol I laughed at that too =)

  • lol me too

  • ive tried running over trick and i have a awesome tire mark on my ass lol

  • its kinda poserish to just do that to jeans u should just wear them lol but nice vid

  • I've been wearing the same pair of jeans for about 4 years now.

    Nothing has happened to them.

Some people actually have to do this to wear them out properly.

  • Poser-ish?

9 times outa ten, it's poserish to keep tabs on whose beign a poser. By saying this I'm creating some sort of social regulation paradox.

  • nice video i'm certainly gonna use some tips. but how you bleach?

  • I almost thought it was kinda funny how they seriously said, "cheesegraters work great for small rips, and you can even run over the jeans with your car too!"

nonetheless, a great video. i'll probably try this.

  • pritty girl at the end of the vid :D

  • I love ripped jeans and havent been able to find any so i might just try this out :D

  • About this week's link, where is it? By the way, does this work with burlaps as well? I am planning to use cut grass as a dye for my burlaps.

  • where can you get coffee grind for cheap? I searched everywhere and there are all pretty expensive. the video says its about $1.50 at local store.

  • coool..im doing the same thing 2 my levis,i love my super2 low cut levis now..

  • XD!!! I LOVED THIS!!! Thank you! It's nice to see others DIYing it up too! It makes me angry when I walk past a store with "pre-vintaged" new clothes with holes and tears. It takes all the individuality out of it when you see ten girls wearing the same pair of department store jeans with the same pattern of holes on the buttcheeks!!!!!! :P

  • Yeah, I will never understand people who buy that sort of jeans. It is so much more fun to tear up a pair of jeans yourself! Plus, a lot cheaper.
