@MrCamaroguy22 i think it is. my interpretation is that he (i'm using a guy cuz it's a guy singing) said something that he didn't mean to someone who meant a lot to him (whether it was a romantic relationship is up to you). it resulted in them ending their relationship or friendship and although he acted like it didn't bother him, it tore him up inside. seven years have gone by since that moment and he's still waiting to fix things between them.

@jarvais56 he really cares about said person (friend/more) and he saw her flaws and confronted her about them, and she reacted harshly. and now it's been all this time and she hasn't forgiven him, and all he wishes is "he would've saved those words for a quiet prayer."

however i happen to know mr. matthews and i'll ask him about it tomorrow :)
