@kakmobilis no, it will break when you boil it. You can thicken the milk with the roux and then add it if you want, but you will still have a soup that tastes like milk, cream is better.
How many servings is this? 2 cups of heavy cream sounds pretty unhealthy to me, but then again your recipe may possibly serve 6 people. Great video. I really appreciate how you re-posted the directions in the info so we can just read it or save the text for print-outs. :)

I made this recipe so fast, after seeing the video about 2 hours ago I realized I had everything but celery to make the soup. We actually have real Gouda cheese, Dutch Garden Smoked Gourdam made in Holland. Funny Barbara bought it for a recipe and we use it all the time when something calls for cheese.
The soup is very good, will be going into the rotation. I wanted to make a soup this week, so there you go. I will have a cup ready when Barbara gets home.

@favi23v man, you must have a hard time doing a lot of recipes if you dont like onions. Onions are an extremely common ingredient...I suggest you force yourself to like them.
