  • Good camera! Get it cheap on Amazon.co. uk, only £62! - Search for: Fujifilm FinePix S5700 Digital Camera

  • @josedee08 you need rechargable batteries

    i get about 300-400 shots

  • For who ever wants to learn photography i think they have to using fuji first, because fuji is not so complex to handle the shutter and all and yeah its superb camera ! :)

  • I have this camera and LOVE it. I have won many awards for my photography with this camera. Someday I may upgrade, but hope this one lasts forever.

  • Great video and very detail information.

    sgtwalk

  • ive had this camera for over a year now and it was great for learning the basics of photography such as apature and shutterspeeds etc.. i am now moving up to my forst dslr (canon 1000D) and thats arriving today :):):) just want to say the little fuji served me well and is great for complete newbies to photography.

  • my sister has this camera, and we both love it!

only problem is the size, bit of an effort to carry it round or find a handbag big enough to fit it in!

  • I can get this camera for 71£. Is it DSLR or not? Is it worth the money? I think the colors aren't so good + it lacks some deepness in photos.

  • ur right about the deepness. its a bridge camera, wich is inbtween an sld and a compact =)

  • inBtween an slr and digital compact, thats what i meant 2 say

  • well i had my fuji s5700 "jaja" as a newbie last year and i find it very nice. although as time passesby you crave for more fast, speed dslr im looking forward to have a nikon d90 or canon eos 5d mark II.......

  • Hi! I have an S5700. How can I take good pictures with few light? I'm a little bit disappointed with photos at night or in dark places...

  • try to decrease your shutter speed then your aperture 3.5...... see for yourself then if not satisfied decrease more your shutter speed.

  • @edumeno im sort of new to photography and what not but what ive learnt so far is the lower the light the higher the ISO but just watch if you increase it too far as it can give some noise

  • Help! i get a wierd card error! can somebody help..... it just pops up and says card error....

  • sorry bud cant help you, but mine just failed as well, I get a green screen with 'focus error' on mine, Ive had it for just over 12months now and its out of warranty as well, very disapointed as its great for taking video as you can see from my youtube channel

  • first delete all files of your card to your pc then put it back to your s5700 then go to set up and format. everything will go to normal.

  • S5800 rules

  • Not long bought one , excellent step up for me from an S3000 , moving towards the dslr! , this camera is astonishing in macro or 'super macro' excellent value for money!

  • Fuji released a firmware upgrade for this camera that allows the use of SDHC cards up to 16GB. I have this camera but wish I'd purchased the S5800 which is 8MP.

  • i watched a video once saying that there isnt a noticable difference between 7 and 8 MP.

  • i have this cam and it´s absolutely anwesome the best about this cam is the makro and supermacro mode which allowes you to take pictures just 1cm away from the object

  • yale-interesante camara.

  • looks good for the price, i got my eye on this

  • witch should i get? fujifilm finepix s5700 or sony H3 im not sure, witch do you think is better and worth the money, reply please, thanks!

  • PROS:

    * Clear sharp pictures

    * 10x digital zoom which you can also use while shooting videos . Pictures and clips retain their clarity unlike with some digital cameras that pixelates

    * Great macro shots, you can really move in as close as possible or as close as you want

    * Functions comparable to DSLRs without burning a whole in your pocket

    * Owner has an option to use either an XD or SD memory card

    * Runs on 4 AA batteries

    * Great price for the whole package

  • not all cameras have clear sharp pictures and this is NOT an expensive camera

4xAA batteries is a pro as compared to a proprietary battery, you can but AA at any store.

  • I wouldn't classify the S5700 as the best picture quality. I've found mine to actually really give off a lot of noise that annoys me like anything when taking pictures and kinda wish I spent a little more on another.

But it's still a good camera.

  • CONS:

    * Not focusing properly when you zoom at times. You have to regain base, adjust zoom and have a steady hand, really not a biggie

    * Charger and batteries have to be bought separately

  • im gettin one for xmas yay

  • mee too

  • i got mine for xmas too:)

  • try original fujifilm memcard. I use finepix 6500fd. Best buy ever.

  • I have the Fuji s5800. Saving an image takes an eternity (feels like it anyway).

Ca 0,5 secs or more , so it's very slow. I have Sandisk Extreme III SD card.

Is the 5700 also so slow ? Or is it some adjustments you can make to fasten up the storing ?

  • on my s5700 pictures [3-3.5 mb per picture] are saved right away..immediately after u press the shutter button ... i have a 1gb Kingston the standard card i believe.. what u can do go in menu/set-up and image disp and set this parameter to off..
