i'm a flier and one thing my bases didn't do for a while was bend their legs and they arched their back putting all thier weight on it. ask your bases if their doing that then have them change it...
if amanda is your main...it shouldn't be over her. the bases need to 'share' you, otherwise your main is hogging the stunt and your second can't help as much when she's at that much of an angle. but it's hard to tell if that's whats being said and i can hardly see their placements.. otherwise you stayed tight and let your bases move you! great job! (its all about whether you need to pull it right away or not, if your just learning some prefer to wait. none of my squads have ever peg-legged)
@cheerthrulife09 Amanda is the side base! and the main base was saying "amanda over me" haha we used to learn with the main base mainly having it but thanx :D
try to wait till ur up there, then pull it. so it'll be like "liberty, 1, 2" then you'll be up there like a sec. or two later, the toe you pull with point it toward the ground, wait till ur steady, and pull. great job though! (:
make sure you just pull up a lot and don't roll your ankle if you do! Actually I'm working on libs right now at cheer. If you wanna see some, type in on youtube at the top ddvms and my competitions will come up.
Ok I am a flyer for my cheer team...and what I've learned is that when you are doing a stunt such as a lib, arabesque, scale, etc. You kind of have to lean forward just a bit. It also helps if you wait until you get to the top to hit it. That way you have more time to get balanced and feel comfortable. As for the bases, ( I have also based as well.) it is important for them to be as close as possible and to be directly under the flyer. also they should keep their hands steady and flat. :)
okay thanx for the advice everyone! I also realized now that I never table topped (pulled my hips up) so I have to work on that, does anyone know any types of exercises or whatever for that?
the flyer needs to pull her weight over her toes. dont toe. but pull your shoulders forward. in my libs that always helps. just stay super tight. everything pulled up.
your front needs to stop fidgiting the stunt..when her hands r trying to find the place they need to be at shes hitting your bases..know where your hands should be through the whole stint and the craddle needs to be much higher,
my coach said you also have to squeeze your tummy, does that really work? cause when i do a full lib i dont really squeeze my tummy but im still steady

your leg looked a little bent and loose. and your high v should be a lot cleaner and tighter. other than that it was good

ahh i learned how to lib yesturday. and its not perfect. and im not use to cradling from one leg. help?! advice?!
minnaex3 1 year ago
@minnaex3 honestly it's the exact same but your standing on one foot, I think with more practice you'll just get used to it!
PrInCeSsChEer4LiFe 1 year ago
when craddling, pull your hips forward so it looks like you're a banana in the air
glamprincess01 1 year ago
Just pinch a penny, lock your knees and pull everything in tight. And also try not to be too stiff.

cheerlv1011 2 years ago
Just lock your knees and squeeze your bottom.
also keep a dead leg longer.. dont pull straight up into the lib.
TheKateAccount 2 years ago
the stunt looks really good.
personally i think it would look better if the flyer were to pull the lib once she was fully locked out and steady.
im a back and it always helps me to start lower than the bases, so that i can push up harder. good jobs girls!
julianixonxo1994 2 years ago
the flyer just needs to hold her weight..thats probably why youre moving around so much

if you're the flyer, pinch a penny between your butt, and make sure to lock your knees, and tighten every muscle in your body.
