There's no skill involved in teching against the ledge with fox and falco. Once you Up-B, and your in the "charging" portion of it, you can hold L and R before you launch, and you'll automatically tech. This only works with Fox and Falco and during the Up-B.

you cannot "hold" L or R, you still have to time it correctly or you won't tech.... <.<

That applies to any other situation. The one I described is true. You don't have to time it at all when fox or falco are "charging" their up-b. While they're stationary in the air with Up-B, just hold L or R, and you'll tech everytime against the ledge. Try it before you try to debunk it.

I've tried it and of course it doesn't work.

The only time this works is, when you press L late enough, so you crash into the wall within the next 20 frames (obviously)

viperboy has a controller with a turbo L and R..you can buy it off ebay..just hold L/R dont have to press at the right time

LOL WRONG, if u press R and miss a tech u have to wait for 40 frames before u can tech again so a turbo controller keeps pressin R so u wont b able to tech if u hold it.

yes, it's basically just pressing L/R when you're about 20 frames away a wall or ground, if you're talking about the one with the wall, you just DI towards the stage and tech as if it was normal.

You press L or R when you hit a wall or the ground.

When you're at high percents, maybe over 180, the knockback comes so fast that you press L or R when you get hit to actually stick the tech.

That's the basic idea. To increase your chances Smash in the direction towards the stage just as you get hit; there's a time when you get stunned during the attack called "hitlag", during which you can move towards the stage by smashing a direction towards it.

You can, but only when it does the stun effect rather than the cape effect.

It happens a lot when falco and fox over-b to get on the level and get hit by the cape. Sometimes it will happen with other moves, but in order for it to happen the character has to be in close proximity to mario when he starts the cape.

right before you hit the edge but you could also try pressing it when you get hit or right before you get hit. in my opinion use motion sensor bomb and plant it on the edge of FD and then use up B and test it out on training mode =]

You can't press it while you're getting hit (ie in hitlag), you have to press it either 1 frame after being hit or just press L before being hit. Then you have to press L within 20 frames of hitting the wall.
