More info would be awesome. Who built this for you? If you built it how about sharing how you did it, what you used. What was your inspiration for the design. Basically, share with us how you made this.
I've watched your video over and over. Seems like every time I do a search on biocubes this one is at the top of the list. LOL. How is your tank doing now? What changes, if any, have you made?
hey man , mind shooting me some closer pics of the mesh on you egg crate that holds you macro in place and how you support your crate. im using some plastic dog screen glued to the crate but i think i need a lil bigger holes. trying get some new ideas. thanks. Stripergod@ ho tma il .c o m
Very nice setup! I'd like to add a fuge to my biocbe, but I'm not sure about drilling a hole in the glass. How difficult was it to do this? Are the risks of breaking the glass very high?
@charmanderzor A biocube is a tank made by oceanic. A fuge is basically a sub-tank where you let micro organisms thrive and put all the ugly stuff there i.e. heaters, skimmers, etc.
I love what you did with your tank. I myself bought one but its a 14 gallon version. I would love to know where you got the custom sump, and if you made it yourself i would love to see if you could facilitate the schematic.
What kind of sponge do u have? does it help to remove algae and clean the tank as well? where can I get cheato algae? do I have to get it from the pet store?
What pump do you use and name
charlie081591 2 weeks ago
You inspired me, just finished mine. Did it a bit different though. Kept the original pump set up and added a refug with DIY overflow.

You did an excellent job on your refugium. The Chaeto looks like it's growing fast, which means it's absorbing the bad stuff. Good job.

I'm not familiar with this refugium business. Why keep a separate tank of algae?
jiroubu 2 years ago
to help deplete nitrates and overall water quality
samubabe101 2 years ago
@jiroubu Just looks too ugly in main tank display =P. Also it helps harbour micro organisms.

i got the same bio cube

vavoomskill, is back wall of biocube made of glass or acrylic? I am debating whether to drill two holes in back wall or put one in hood like you did.
Did you consider putting bulkhead in back wall for return pipe?
